I'm awfully glad to see the family is still here, even though ECF has changed.
Congrats to you on the continued vaping. It does seem like everything changes and the older I get the less I like change.

But I am still grateful to ECF and for all the wonderful people I have met during the last 10 years.

Hey Reonauts! Good to see a bit of chatter going on here. Wow, I have been hanging out here for over 10 years now too! No cigs, Reos, mostly Grands, and have been at 3 mg for a few years now. Why do I stay you might ask? Because Reonauts are some of the kindest, wisest folks I know. Plus Reos are like the Ever Ready Bunny: they just keep working. Haha
I am gonna keep coming back! Virtual hugs to you all.

Damn, skippy they are. I was just telling a new friend of mine last weekend that I had quit smoking 10 years ago and my vaping friends felt like family to me. (the kind you like)

Most of y'all knew I took care of my father for 7 1/2 years but since he passed, I have hardly stayed at home. I have traveled to W VA, Ohio, and Georgia. Next week I am going to Tennessee for six days. I am so looking forward to it.

It is weird learning about dating at my age. I married the first little boy I liked so this is all new to me. My 70-year-old cousin has been trying to explain to me how men are. I am hoping she is wrong.

Hey there Reo fam! I accidentally put one of the magnets backwards on my P-67 & guess what happened? The mod and door aren’t getting along well. Haha. Any easy fixes? Thank you in advance.
You'll have to pull it out and flip it over...no other way, really...
:)

Hey all. Been a while since I posted here. I have been pretty busy doing fun stuff. YAY!

My friend (Ken) has two motorcycles but I do not consider them comfortable for me at all. On one of them, I had to ride on the fender which is pretty hard. Oh well. I could be having a late mid-life crisis but I went out and bought myself a Harley. It has a very comfortable back seat. I will not be driving this one but I am considering taking a class to learn and maybe one day getting me a smaller one. Maybe. I sure do like sitting on the back able to vape and use my phone as we go down the road.

Congratulations! She is gorgeous and a bit more comfy than riding on a fender too. Haha

I agree. We took on a short 200-mile trip yesterday. It was wonderful but I am having a little bit of sciatica issues. It worked out okay because he had to stop and smoke several times. I will not harp at him about smoking but I have suggested trying vape. Fingers crossed. Just the cost alone is enough to try as far as I am concerned. I could not believe how much cigarettes have increased. Well, everything has but cigarettes are so much more than when I was buying them 10 years ago. I am so grateful that I vape.

Okay, it is time for someone to post here. The silence is getting on my reserve nerve.

I have ventured to TN again. I really do like this state. It is so pretty. Not much sightseeing going on though. We were going to bring the motorcycle I bought but my friend had an accident and broke 3 of his ribs. (bless his heart) We were coming up here because his 89 year old father was having a place removed from one of his kidneys. He came home Saturday and has been doing beautifully. My friend has improved since he started taking the pain medication that the ER gave him.

Cool but beautiful weather here. I have taken some exceptional walks. My knees are not necessarily in agreement but that's okay. I try not to listen to them.

What is everyone up to? October is passing just as fast and the rest of the months this year have gone by. I sure wish it would slow down.

I have already visited TN again but this time it was on my bike. You could not have ordered better weather for the trip which ended up being a little over 1000 miles. It was awesome.

I had my Honda CRV stolen right out of my own driveway. So hard for me to believe. I live on a little dead-end road where most of us are related.

The good news is they called me in TN and found it. It was stashed behind a deserted house. Only took them a week to find it and believe it or not it was in decent shape. A couple of new scratches but the only thing that I can tell was taken was my 4-in-1 battery starter and the cellphone car charger. They think that it was gang-related. They are looking for guns but when they find one (which I did not leave unlocked, my friend drove it last) they take it and hide it away until they need a getaway car from doing something illegal. This sure is getting to be a cruel world.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

I am really having fun and I am glad y'all don't mind hearing about it. After staying home for so many years, I enjoy doing just about anything.

Last night we went out to eat with this older couple that I dearly love. They seemed to like my new fellow. The place we met at is my favorite restaurant. We had the ribs which are the best I have ever had. Ken must like them too because that is what we ate the last time we went there.

The other couple went to Hobby Lobby after we ate and me and my friend went to a bar that I have been to several times. They had a live band and Ken knows I love watching people sing and play. They were an older group but very good and I hated it when they quit playing at 11. I wanted to hear more.

We are going back to TN Tuesday. It has gotten colder so Ken does not want to take the bike. I wish we were because that trip is gorgeous. I suggested we get the heated suits that you plug in but Ken is old school. He said he would still take me for rides in the cold but not when it gets down to the 40's. I think it would be cool to have one of those suits. I told him I might just have to find another chauffeur.

It is silly that I bought a bike that was too heavy for me to handle. I am thinking about getting my MC endorsement and maybe getting me a smaller bike. I prefer being a passenger though because I can sit back and enjoy the ride and vape. heehee He has to stop every hour or so to smoke but that's okay with me. We usually find pretty spots to park.

I just found out a little while ago that it was tonight that we set the clocks back. I thought it was next weekend. I swear it seems like I just changed the clocks. Time goes by so fast. Can you believe Thanksgiving and Christmas is almost here? Sheesh! And I used to laugh when old people would talk about how time flies. I am not laughing anymore. heehee Well, I guess I am.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

@Rat2chat2 I so can’t relate to getting older. Hahaha. Hmmmmm….what were we talking about ? Teehee
Am looking forward to more adventure time as retirement is nearing. Knowing me, I will probably be just as busy as I am now.
We are having a beautiful fall here in Northern Cal. Lots of colors, some rain, and no fires! So grateful. We have had several rough years with fires. To be able to enjoy Fall again is a treasure!
Best wishes to all of you Reo folks.

All packed and ready to go back to Tennessee tomorrow morning. This is my 5th trip there in 113 days. Every time Ken takes me there, I seem to like it more. Who knows? Maybe this is my destination. I have had plans to sale the house and move out of the state for years.

Ken does not want to take the bike this time like we did last time and I hate that. I would take it again in a heartbeat because the weather is going to be good. I will still be able to ride around up there because he has two motorcycles. One is at my house and one is in TN. But it is nowhere near as comfy as the one I bought.

6 nights in TN was not enough and I am ready to go again. Anywhere.
1laugh.gif
I think I would rather do anything or go anywhere instead of staying at home and doing what I am supposed to be doing. I did good for a little while getting rid of stuff in the house. I have given stuff to everyone I know and donated the rest to a thrift store that helps so many people. My parents kept EVERYTHING and the box it came in. I am thinking about just packing the stuff I want and having an estate sale. I would not make much but it would be quicker I am sure.

Cool in the mornings here but still getting up in the sixties. I like this weather. Cold weather is right around the corner but that's okay. I have gained a little in my travels so I hope I can still wear my winter clothes from last year. I did not have much room for expansion.

So glad you are getting away and completely understandable to want to stay away from “no fun” chores. Small world moment: my step Dad and Mom both passed this year. Mom had lived in the house since ‘56 & yeppers, there is a LOT of stuff! Luckily my brother lives near the house and is heading up the project. Great idea to do an estate sale & thank goodness for donation sites. Not easy going thru it. Keeping you in my thoughts.
Hope all you Reonauts are having a good day. I have a double winner day-off-day with bookclub and watching my 49ers! And we just got some beautiful rain!!
