Nope. I have 5 yihi's and I didn't have to plug em in to a PC to tweak it. Only to update it. That's the only thing stopping me from getting a dna 200. That and evolv's poor track record.

just stick with yihi then. escribe is half the reason to gét dna 200, imo

I'm returning it, after 20+ builds with custom ni200, Ti profiles etc...it will not set itself to temp mode. It only fires on power mode regardless of wire type or resistance. These builds work fine on other TC devices, the chip is inadequate.

All in all I think it's a very dangerous device, has caught fire twice today once in my mouth because the TC fails. I would advise the majority to stay away from this or any other dna chip atm.
is it really so bad? i intend to purchased a dna200 device soon, still can't decides between sx mini ml class n this. n i tht the only thing holding me back from the dna200 is becos i m a mac guy.

DNA200s vape very accurately out of the box, see the reviews those guys have not bothered to measure the mod resistance. The 2 things that you should set is the battery capacity and the max Kanthal watts as it is defaulted to 100 W, but this is not the best mod for 200 W vapers anyway. If you want to use Ti or SS you will need to load the materials profile.

i've read that u can run power or nickel mode out of the box. but the preheat is set at 200w, so u might need to tweak it abit.

Preheat is only active after the first use of a temp-sensing coil, never for Kanthal, but it is tempreture limited so you can generally leave it at 200 W.

That's a great deal. Did they lower the price? It was 169.99 an hour ago.

Sorry, I went to sleep after staying up all night to get that deal and I forgot to post the code for eciggity, it's "BF2015" as @jdreynss said before. Thanks. Should run until 3:59am central time.

On the DNA200 are there power mode adjustments at all, such as adjustable boost or timed vape puff cut-off?

No, just watts, underneath it doesn't have separate modes it is smart enough to tell if you have a temp sensing coil, but you can turn temp limiting off if you want to use a temp sensitive wire without the temp limit. The timed cut off is 20 secs, not adjustable.
