Just a a heads up. Maybe user error. Maybe the mod. I don't know since I'm not handy. RX200 blew up at my local vape store? WTF?? • /r/electronic_cigarette
Like I said, I wouldn't put too much faith into what I heard. Although the two boxes have a different faceplate, chip alignment & battery sled.
That's crazy. It has to be user error. I don't really see how a little mar in a battery's sleeve can cause it to blow up when it's getting put in or pulled off a protected battery sled (protection being the non-conductive material separating the +\- contacts). They're claiming it was when he removed the battery cover, that's absurd. How does pulling off the back to show the batteries cause one to explode?

Makes sense. I was just putting it out there. I think the RX200 is a great buy
With that being said, I don't have a clue about electronics so thanks for the clarification

Most definitely looks like it. I read it happened when the guy was removing the battery cover, but most likely pulled the battery out the wrong way.
I know the RX has reverse batt protection for the chip, but does it work between the batts? I mean if a wrapper on a batt was torn could it short out against another batt or the batt tray itself?? Hmmm..got me thinking about it for sure..

I would guess the wrap on the top of the battery was damaged and it shorted on the flat positive contact.
Battery failures within the tray have no protection. Reverse Battery Protection protects the board not the batteries.

Do the batteries need to be rotated? I generally switch the spot each time I charge with my dual 18650 mods, but I think I'm just going to leave all three 18650s in my Reuleaux.
I keep the same three batts together is all.. Really havn't paid attention to what position they are in the mod but I do charge the same three together and install the same three in the mod.. No issues at all doing it this way..

I had two sets of LG HE4s and suspected one set was clones. Now with just one good set I now charge them in the mod to utilise the balance charge feature. Working pretty OK so far, if there's any anomalies will report back

But how long are they taking to charge up? Others have posted it takes a very long time

I normally recharge my batts right before I go to bed around 12 or 1 am. I don't fully drain my batts either, I will plug them in as soon as it is hovering around the 4x%.

with my hg2's about 90% drained (10% battery bar), it took my reuleax 4.50 hours to top off. 6.25 from weak battery message.
