Does this have anything to do with the persistent rumors of the Reuleaux DNA 200 version not being produced any longer? I've seen at least 3 posts in DNA/Reuleaux facebook groups stating such just in the last week. None of which provided any real proof or sourced their claims.
Certainly makes the rumors make more sense in view of it

After reading the suit it seems that the Evolv will still provide Wismec and JoyTech the DNA 200 chip. Evolv is seeking damages and an injunction to stop production and or seeking future royalties on the Cubid and the RX200. The business relationship certainly has been damaged though.

At least that is what I gathered.

Just pay Evolv royalty fee. Everybody wins, everyone happy and vapin'.
I think Joyetech as recently as a week ago offered to buy licensing rights from Evolv and Evolv refused. This was after Evolv for several months had offered to sell rights to them, but Joyetech repeatedly refused. This was the gist I gathered from the documents.

Too bad, the Reuleax DNA200 is the pinnacle of vaping at this point as I see it. Form factor is ergonomic, has easily sourced 18650 batt, and excels at run time unlike any other 3s bulky lipo variants. Swappable batts is the reason I waited for a mod like this, just like I've stuck with Samsung Note series phones over the last several years. (Don't get me started on Samsung's current nonsense designs...)

It would be a shame if the partnership broke down because of this, but at least I got me a limited edition!!!! DNA200 RX.

Yes. :thumb: They could stick a VV board in it and I would buy it. (Especially if they changed the wiring to parallel.:))

Today I noticed one of my tanks (Griffin) won't make connection with the Wismec DNA200. It worked perfectly fine before. What changed was that I recently got the Aromamizer Supreme and it has somewhat long 510 pin. I noticed when screwing it down their was quite the resistance when try to get it down all the way. At first I thought the Aromamizer Supreme pin was too long to screw down all the way, but after a couple members say theirs sat flush I just screwed it all the way down. Well It did sit flush after, but about a week later when trying the Griffin, which has a shorter, recessed pin, it would not make a connection.

What I think happen was that the Aromamizer Supreme pushed the pin down and weaken the spring so it will not move up all the way it used to. Lucky for me the griffin has an adjustable 510 pin and I just backed it out a bit and it worked.

Just a heads up for anyone interested. After using tanks with long pins your tanks with shorter pins may not work.

Pin is probably gunked up w/ juice or other. Try cleaning it. It should release.

I contacted Wismec to get some clarification on the issue. Some vapers, including a few members of the Vaping 360 team, have noticed that other products in the Joyetech family use a similar 510 connection. They noted that popular vaping devices like the Joyetech Cuboid and the Eleaf iSmoka iStick 100W seem to have the same or similar 510 connection as the Reuleaux RX200. Joyetech is the parent company of Eleaf and Wismec.

With all of that in mind, I asked Wismec if using the Reuleaux RX200 with atomizers in the Joyetech family would keep the warranty intact. Here’s the response that I received from Wismec CSR Olivia:

“It is better to use Wismec atomizers, as some atomizer threads on the market are too long to thread on. If you thread these atomizers on the device for a long use, it will damage the 510 thread of our device. Our warranty will be invalid for this situation, as the problem is caused by the third-party products. If the 510 pin is stuck down, you could try to make it up with a screwdriver or a nipper.”

I interpreted the response as, “The warranty for the Reuleaux RX200 is only good if the device is used with Wismec atomizers.” Again, this isn’t a good thing for vapers. While I don’t have any hard numbers, I suspect that the majority of Reuleaux RX200 users are not using Wismec atomizers. I suspect that most of them are using many different atomizers from many different companies. If my suspicions are correct then most Reuleaux RX200 users are rocking devices with invalid warranties.

To be honest I like mines so much that if they fixed the problem and mines completely broke I would end up buying another one. It does not seem like they really care about fixing it though and rather mark it off as a non problem.

Not really a huge deal so far. It's not broken really. Just has a lower point of contact then before. And even if the Supreme was the only atomizer that fit it'd be happy, though I hope I have no problems with the Boreas.
