Shockwave Update: The remaining Rhodium parts were suppposed to be done on Tuesday, but i was informed on Wednesday that they had flaking issues on the base gold plating and needed to strip them down and start over. I talked to them again yesterday and they still weren't done, the platers are now saying Monday they should be done (the bottom posts and the spring cup top cap parts are done and in my posseission, just waiting on the top cap center post and the spring cup plunger and spring cup body to be done). Ashley has finish prepped through almost 60 bodies as of yesterday. I'm in soldering wires to the switches this weekend. I'll let you know where we stand on Monday with the platers when i follow up with them. Not the news we wanted, but on the good side of it, we have a lot of bodies and top caps already done, just waiting for their switches and posts :)

Ofcourse it counts as mechanical. Wire is just means to transfer current :D I bet the solders are inside the switch assembly.

Forgive me please if I'm wrong, as this will be my first Super T mod, but doesn't he need the wires and solder because it's a side mounted switch rather than the P+ bottom switch? Again, I could totally not know what I'm talking about...

The ShockWaveTM

Removable Switch Pod. Contains the user replaceable Snap action mechanical switch, a high amperage version (10amp) of the same switch used in many mouses due to their extreme durability and life and also houses the Spring Loaded Plunger:

My guess is the "Snap action mechanical switch" is soldered somehow:confused:
Just a guess:unsure:

would make sense if that is what he ended up designing, a switch that has a soldered wire, but the GGTS's have side buttons with no wires or solder at all. I thought the mod was purely mechanical so I am looking forward to see what the shockwave ended up being.

Poldiac and 69 mod have pretty intricate side buttons that require no wires.

Will be interesting to see how this is put together.
