I received an email asking if the plunger was plated in Rhodium. It is not, the platers (and i, since i gave them the go ahead) did not want to risk another batch of runined parts attempting to Rhodium plate them which then would have had to be remachined for the second time and put back several more weeks. It is plated in Palladium, which is less fussy about ahering properly and is one of four members of the Platinum group along with Rhodium and Iridium. Palladium, like Rhodium, is a precious metal that will never corrode, tarnish or oxidize and i have full confidence in the part it was placed on will perform just as well as Rhodium and is indistinguishable from Rhodium looks wise (its a silver/white color). The most critical parts are still Rhodium plating, that being the top atomizer post and the bottom battery post as well as the Plunger Cup and Plunger retention ring.

Now we can move forward and i see no reason units won't start shipping this coming week. Ship notices will be sent out via email.

I want to thank everyone for their patience through this all. Many a night i lost sleep and imagined the dim flicker of lit torches through my window held by pitchfork wielding mobs upon my front lawn....

Seriously, thank you everyone, i know the wait hasn't been easy and i hope at least your Shockwave will bring you a little bit of vaping pleasure and relief!

Well hell! Now we get to say that not only does our custom made vapable jewelry contain gold and rhodium, but palladium too! It will be interesting to see how all the parts of a ShockWave fit together.
Perfectly, I suppose.

Ive been watching most of the threads for a short while now, and Im curious, whats all the fuss about the serial numbers and which one who gets. I know that in artwork when dealing with etchings, the lower to mid numbers are sought after more. But on things like mods and atomizers etc. Why do people worry about the numbers. I can kinda see wanting the number 1 but after that why? Im probably completely out of it, but Id like to know.

I have not been watching this too closely, but I was curious, this was a limited edition? I saw the site and it shows "sold out" ? So there is not going to be more of these?

Yes, it was a limited run, cost of production was more then we sold them for (way more at this point). We may do a take on it again in the future since we can now machine in house, but that would be a long time from now.

David,

I know how to recover some of that cash you lost on the Shockwaves. All you gotta do is make us a RBA that fits the Shockwave like the ZAP fits the Provari. Sell it at a $100+ profit and wa-la, everyone wins :D

I take full responsibility for the number insanity. Having some number "thing and trying to hunt down #13 started it. I don't think that many people care at all about their Shockwave # but the unit itself.
