David,

Are the top slant caps for the Shockwave bigger, smaller or the same size as the P+ slant caps as they look almost identical in regards to dimensions with the exception of the air slot on the Shockwave?

I'm trying to compare the pics I can find and just not sure, so figured better to ask than guess.

Thanks,

If I recall correctly, David described the smaller of the two planes of the truncated cone (the top :D ) as being the same diameter as the top cap of a flat-topped P+18xxx. So it's larger.

Correct, I found a few posts by Dave stating the dimensions:

approximately 20mm at the top of the slant (same as the P+ 18XXX flat top diameter).

Dimensions: 4.5 x 1.1 inches or 114 x 28mm
Weight: 5.0 Ounces without battery.

Now I got to Find an appropriate tank to go on top of this shiny beast. Rebuildable will be great would like to get a strata but if the wait time on this an indication would prefer to have something when this finally arrives. SS LavaTank would be sweet but it still uses cartos and at those prices 2 would cost close to a strata. So I dont know????

Get a Line SS. The classies were flooded with these a few days ago.
Another good rebuildable is the Bulli.
The SS lava tank is still available from the last sale.
Two of those SS lava tanks cost $120. I don't think the
Strata will be in that price point. It will be higher.

Just got into tanks (am weary of the carto fillers) and bought a little vision tank with removeble wick heads in different ohms ranging from 1.5 to 2.8. Of course I don't know what all that meas (already broke the 1.5 one). The guy selling it to me said that for my current 3.7 mod the 1.5 ohm will be best. SNORK, could you please explain the differences to me and which ohmss would be best for the ShockWave (it's stll a 3.7 mod right? Thanks so much (still ordered a bunch of cartos anyhow).
I can't fidget with rebuildables (that's why I didn't get an ody or Penelope) so the Vision may be the easiest option?

The DID is a shiny genesis-style rebuildable atomizer that is reasonably priced and is readily available :) I've had mine about a week now and it has proven to be an excellent performer thus far on my devices :D

You should consider the rebuildables.

The new ones are much easier to use and do not require much fiddling at all.

Once you have them set up, they actually require less fiddling that a lot of cartos and attys.

I second ob here :) Further, I stayed away from rebuildables for far too long for the same rationale that silverrocks speaks of :( Happy to report that I can attest to the fact that my preconceptions of rebuildables were completely unfounded and misguided notions based in fear and personal intimidation rather than reality :) Rebuildables are simple (especially the genesis style). Just take the plunge, silverrocks. They are easy :toast: Keep in mind that this information is coming from someone who is not handy whatsoever and has extremely large and clumsy hands LOL. Just try one out, you won't regret it :D

+1 on that. I use the DIDs & Lines. Think (til the Strata arrives) one of my DIDs will have a Shocking home.

I dont' have a timeframe per se, but i can tell you i have given the shop that did the quote on the bodies the green light to manufacture the bodies so we are full steam ahead with production!

I love the suspense... Surprise us... we will know when we get a shipping notice....

I wish I had one in a Drip only mode.... Was on the COV "notify me" list for a Ody iatty driping mode. The other day while on my computer an e-mail poped up saying I could buy one. Clicked the link and was directed to COV.. The COV page said item cannot be found.. ??? Tired of trying to find one, cant they build enough for the demand? ... I think I will just wait for the Strata all in one and a Strata Universal, hope I can get the Strata Universal in a Drip only mode...
