I went with The Shiny... ;)

David: I see you have the Trustfire 26650 5000mAh listed in your store. Have you conducted testing on these? If so, what ACTUAL mAh are we looking at, and what is the C rating? I have always steered clear of TF & UF batteries for the usual QC issues, and grossly over-inflated mAh...

I just ordered a satin one. I already have a P+ 18650 and they have to match each other. I'm happy with how the satin finish looks. And I was wondering what's a good charger for both 26650s and 26500s. Any recommendations on a place that will carry both kinds of batteries? I see that the 26500s seem to be sold out everywhere....help please before my head explodes from the awesomeness of this device. What is being put in for the kick to work? A sleeve of some sort?

Well I was excited at this and thought this would be the 26650 mod for me but would like to use the kick in it. After a lot of research and hunting its almost impossible to find the 26500 batts. So is there a possiblity to have an extension to use a 26650 with a kick as that would be easier then thinking the manufacturer is going to start making 26500 batts again after discontinuing them. I so wanted to order this and almost did on the other Shockwave now called the BAM. I guess I will take the sit and wait approach to see how the battery situation pans out. Damn I wanted to order this soooooo bad! Also any other colour options in the future?

TIA

Yes, i'll try to put up the charts soon. Waiting to get them 3500mah's in too to test so i can overlay them. Of course they are overated at 5000mah though, well maybe at .01 amps draw...lol

I'm trying to source some 26500's and AW is trying to get their manufacturer to resume making the 26500. A sleeve is what works with the kick. On the charger, a WF 188, XTAR and TR005 work great!

If it's a big seller i may do an extension sleeve. On the colors, no, its stainless steel, not aluminum (technically, there are two non critical parts made of aluminum in it to save weight) so it can't be anodized colors, though stainless is far more durable then aluminum and this will likely weigh the same if not less then an aluminum version due to the weights savings and thinner walls i integrated into it.

Oh I'm more then sure it will be a hot ticket and would love to get one and probably will due its uniqueness but I will wait to see how the battery situation will go unless I can get my hands on 4 26500 batteries in the meantime. Colour wasn't a big issue would love it in blue but hey thats what skins are for!! LOL I might have to bite the bullet on this one and go for it!!

For what the shock wave costs and it should be
Included

Sorry, for what the ShockWave will cost to manufacture including machining no less than ten parts, rhodium/gold plate (no less than 5 parts on it are Rhodium/gold plated), surface prep/finish/fit/polish and assemble/test, a screw on sleeve would not be included in the price.

In all honesty, I suspect the 219.99 price won't stand and is more of an introductory sale price so to speak as i haven't even got the final bill yet on the total machining costs and as it stands the ShockWave is inherently much, much more expensive to produce then the PrecisePlus due to the number of parts, complexity of the machining and the cost of the plating the numerous parts compared to the PrecisePlus which is only 40.00 cheaper.

David, will he Shockwave in the polished finish be similar to the older style Precise finish? Or will it have a high polish.

It will be similar to the old shiny Precises, though it may be shinier, but at a minimum it will be as shiny as the old Precise finish.
