December 1st is our national day. If i am seen without a ShockWave at the parade, my chances of being elected prime minister will decrease by 64%. If by december 25th it's not here, my credibility as a politician that gets things done will be shattered, and i'll be lucky if i end up with the position of Minister of Failed Foreign Affairs

Update as of today 11/15, direct quote from our machine shop:
"Here is the newest update.
We got through everything now except the top cap.
We had a spindle bearing on the mill go out so that set us a little behind. We are working hard to get caught up. I will inform you when I have a better grasp on a date. Mike"

"Here is the update on all your Shockwave parts.
Our milling department has been totally buried recently and we are seeing a slight window.
All the parts are done through the lathe operations.
We have Top Cap done, just have to rework because the operator forgot the thread.
Bottom Cap needs milling.
Delrin Plug is in milling right now.
Now that we have some time in milling, hunting season hits. We will have a few guys out for that. Can't win!
I am hoping that we will have everything done the end of next.

I bet David will chime in sooner than later and let you know. I had to go through the same thing a few months ago but i forgot the e-mail.
Do you think when he says "everything but the Top cap" in the most recent update, that maybe he just means the rework to add the missing threads? Just trying to optomistic. Fingers crossed for Xmas, although I am pretty late in the list so maybe not, either way thanks for the update.
I do remember that David says to put "Shockwave address change" in the subject line, or something along those lines.
oops I shoulda read that before I sent an email, I don't think I even put a subject. I will send a pm just to make sure my baby doesn't get lost in the mail when that time comes
question...as i cant remember... can we use a Kick with the Shockwave? Without a kicklet that is?

Yes. The shockwave comes with a kick adaptor if I remember correctly
You can use the Kick with the Shockwave without the Kiklet by using the tube made for the Kick which comes with the Shockwave by default. However, you must use the 26500 battery instead of the 26650 battery for the Kick to actually fit.

The last couple updates from the machine shop seemed to contradict themselves so we are kinda waiting to see
We are all praying for jolly St. Nick to bring us some thunder for Xmas!
They had told me in early Novemeber they thought it would be about the end of the next week, but now the latest update is that the spindle bearing went out on their Mill. Hurry up and wait. I only posted those up so people knew i wasn't secretly hoarding away the shockwave parts all for myself! The only parts i have are 115 Shockwave bodies, but we are getting very close. I don't expect this Thanksgiving week though, since they close tomorrow early. I wish i could do more for you, but i'm committed to that machine shop now and at their mercy.
You don't need to do more. Keeping us updated and selling us Shockwaves at a loss is more than good enough for me.
