I was very tempted to sell my AWs too... but was reluctant because they're so difficult to find, especially now... so consequently still have them - and a Kick II due to arrive tomorrow...

How's yours shaping up AJ, are they a worthy successor to the original Kick module...?

Beyond worthy, I had issues with my original kicks. I have only used it in a Paps SS 2.5, but it works well. The lower voltage cutoff really helps. When the battery nears that low voltage cutoff, I do get a bit of premature cutting out, and I measured my battery when it started and it was at 3.4 V unloaded. That's when I like to change batteries anyway, so no worries there. Other than that, I have really enjoyed vaping a regulated 13 watts or so on my kayfun Lite. Battery life is less than unregulated, but not by much. (only used 18350's so far). I have gotten a good 3-4 hours out of an 18350 @ 13 watts...

Another thing to note: I had a tad bit of trouble getting the kick into the tube due to the newly designed ground pins. So I imagine that using it with a top load only pv like the Precise plus could prove to be problematic. However once it's in the Shockwave's Kick ring it never needs to be removed, so no issues there.

Correct, though maybe in the future there will be another Super-T 26650 device.

Anyone with knowledge of how to remove the contact/button assembly on the Shockwave? I'm sending mine out to have it refinished from satin to brushed and they wanted me to remove the button. Looking at it, I don't think I want to start messing with it without knowing. Thanks!

I agree, refinishing a satin ShockWave is an abomination unto God. What could we say to convince Feightwins?
By the way, if it's going off to some evil foundry for refinishing, the devil's instrument of such defacement best steer clear of the tiny serial numbers engraved on the Secret Places.

Ok convince me!! I'm not down with abominations! Lol... I just really love the brushed Polished/brushed shockwave. Anyone with one wish they had a satin? And I've found one of the secret serial numbers but the only thing that would be refinished is the outside satin finish. Talk me out of it, or tell me its ok... Just don't leave me in purgatory. and thanks for the video mate!

A Brushed ShockWave is pretty as all get out but that gigantic surface area shows every nick, scratch and pimple and magnifies it tenfold, the searing eternal agony you will endure for making such a horrible mistake will make hell look like a vacation in Belize.

I generally prefer a satin finish, but I do like a nice brushed finish as well. However, after having both, I always ended up using the Satin one, and sold the "polished" one. I think due to the size and weight, the Satin finish just FELT better. I also think it looks better too. The sheer amount of surface area just seemed somewhat garish having a brushed finish on it.

Ok ok... I'm starting to rethink my decision. I do like the fact that it looks to be in mint condition and I don't see that changing without putting it through abuse, which isn't going to happen. It's got it's own little bed and I tuck it in at night. I guess I won't admit that there is a possibility that the same person who intended to have such a thing done, was also considering having a torched finish done to it... I know, kind of conflicting my previous statement of no abuse.

Well I won't say what I paid for mine, but I feel it was a very fair market value price. Just to give you an idea of the insane desire for one that has been taking people over lately, the last two I saw go for $800 & $895... And those people would probably consider themselves lucky, seeing that everyone and their mother seems to be offering up the farm for one, without much luck. I've had a few of those one certain boat mods that go for around $1500-2000 and I can say I wouldn't trade my shockwave for two of them... Cash value aside....

Yeah, and the Shockwave had ten times the machine time into it then those mods, so its a "bargain" if you can call it that...lol.
