Since there are production problems with the slotted ones,
does that mean the non-slotted shockwaves are shipping first?

So, if the first order was a slotted one, then the rest of the orders after
that first order have to wait until a machine shop agrees to make the slotted design?

Yes,I ordered slotted when non-slotted wasn't even an option I don't think. I'm sticking with slotted until its not available. I should hope David sticks to his guns and manufactures and ships in order. That's fair don't you think?
Time to let it go. Your Shockwave will get there when it gets there....... You cant rush it... Like I said before, Im shooting for Labor Day. That way if its delivered before that I will be surprized....
My orders for shiny slotted and satin non-slotted were widely separated in time.

I should have an update soon, we have sent out the prints and are waiting to hear back, so it shouldn't be long.

I only changed my order to non-slotted when that option became available.
Point being that if the slotted version is delayed, why should the non-slotted
ones be delayed as well if there are no issues with that particular product?

I ordered the slotted before there was an option and am sticking for now. I have thought about it before the issue came up in this thread and I guess I have no issue one way or another. If it's not going to delay my getting my slotted, should they be made, I don't have a problem with them shipping orders that came later that were non-slotted or that changed to non-slotted. However, I can see reasons why he's waiting to see if the slotted will be made before beginning production.

Good news and bad news. Good news, we've found another shop to make the body part! Bad news, they can only make non slotted, they just don't think its feasible to make the slotted version due to the flexing/distortion of the body due to the large slots. I'm so sorry about this guys/gals, i really wanted it happen
Due to the cost of manufacturing the unit, which with the estimates we have received so far, will exceed 200.00 each, we have decided to make it a limited run. We have approximately 25 preorder units left, so if you are on the fence, best act fast!
Those who ordered slotted and are willing to switch to non-slotted, please advise via email, supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com, with the topic heading "Shockwave order change" Please list your name and/or order number and that you are willing to switch to non-slotted. Do not PM me with your change, email only. Those not wanting to change can receive a full refund, no questions asked, email to the same address above.

Lower body vent detail. 4 equally spaced vents:
Top Cap lower end view.
Shows the spring loaded plunger which makes for no exposed springs to lose and exerts constant pressure on the battery for reliable electrical connection. Note, all pieces of the spring loaded plunger will be Rhodium plated in the production version. A total of 5 parts of the Shockwave are Rhodium Plated
Also note the "D" shaped machining (not round) to securely hold and align the switch pod:
Removable Switch Pod. Contains the user replaceable Snap action mechanical switch, a high amperage version (10amp) of the same switch used in many mouses due to their extreme durability and life and also houses the Spring Loaded Plunger:
Top Cap Juice Well View. Production versions will have Rhodium plated Center Post.
Will accept the universal fit Strata rebuildable as well as most all others tanks/rebuildables.
Note machined relief and indexed air flow channels for problem tanks/rebuildables:
Top Cap inside view, switch pod removed.
Gun Drilled for maximum weight savings which can allow the Stainless Steel Shockwave to weigh less then an Aluminum 26650 mod:
Bottom Master On/Off:

Wow, thats cuttin it close, it sounds like you are almost making the shockwave for free, hopefully you can make up a little bit with battery sales. Sorry to hear that. I did decide to order one though especially since now it looks like the shockwave should be much more expensive, and I feel like I am getting a lot for my money. Thanks for the update and sorry about the new costs. With this new information about the price did you change the numbers of the limited run or has there already been 375 pre-orders?
Yes, it is limited to 100 units. We are selling these at a loss as we priced it before we got in the estimates and i got carried away with over engineering it (i had fun though, it was a dream of mine to make something so ourtrageous and some of the design aspects i can still use in future mods), so we are just going to fill out the 100 to fullfil our committment to our customers.
It is truly a gorgeous, one of a kind, piece of work and i now just have to view it as a promotional piece to showcase our work here at Super-T.

Wow, well thank you very much, I am glad that I was able to get one. At least you have found a way to think of it as a positive, and I am sure it will blow peoples mind when we start getting em.
So you are limiting it to 100 orders, you still have around 25 left? Are you kidding me only 75 people placed orders at this time? This is a fine piece of American enginering what is wrong here... If your on the fence, get off and decided so at least we can start production.. All the work and time that has gone into this Mod and SuperT is giving them away at cost, makes me kind of sad :-(
I think people are caught up in the rebuildable atomizer/tank all in one craze, plus it's a preorder. It's all good, those who do get one, will have something truly special.
