I've been doing that since the prototype drawings

Be honest - how many of you did this today?

Hi David,

I was wondering, since you have an idea of what's happening now that the bodies are in and other parts being made to fit, if you have approximate time frames for the rest of the processing, each step, and then an estimated shipping date? And if they're all going to be fully manufactured, engraved, and shipped at once or in stages, etc? No one will hold you to exact dates, I'm sure it would just be nice for everyone to have an idea now that we're getting closer.

As you know, the bodies have been completed and I would estimate it will be about 3 weeks until my machine shop is done machining the caps, switches, posts etc. Once we get them, we'll begin preparing them right away and they will ship in small batches in the order the orders came in.

The difficulty in machining the body was an obstacle as our normal machine shop couldn't machine it on their machines, so we had to source another shop capable of doing the bodies, which we did and they are now done. It should speed up now. I don't have a firm ETA though, it's an incredibly involved mod like nothing before it, and we didn't properly plan for this and for that i apologize.

We limited the Shockwave to 100 units as the cost of manufacturing them exceeded what people paid for them. We just decided to continue with a limited run to showcase our talents and fulfill our committment to those who had already paid.

This is how a mod/pv should respond to inquiries about delays.
Not "you'll get an email when its done" or
"Don't bother me with your pm's and just read the thread more often"
Other makers should learn from this *cough santa cough*
Good show, David. Now, I can wait with patience and not anxiety.

Actually I have been biting my lip not to say anything in certain threads in certain forums, the comparison with the way Super-T works would be just so juicy.....

Now, I can wait with patience and not anxiety.

How a person waits is their choice and always has been. It's a personal choice. Waiting with anxiety doesn't decrease the time it takes to get anything to completion.

The best msg that David has conveyed from the onset of the delays, is that if anyone doesn't want to wait, then they could ask for a refund and they would be granted that refund with no ill feelings from Super T. Basically he has sent a msg that tells everyone to either wait with patience or don't wait at all. I am pretty sure every supplier is the same way, although they may not drill that sentiment home with as much precision.

I can wait for my Shockwave.....take the time you need....good things come to those with patience and a peaceful mind comes to those who wait without anxiety. :)

Anyone else think, "man with the new kicker (or whatever it will be called) I can now run my Shockwave with a 26650 battery and the Kick" or was it just me!

I can definitely wait as I am pretty sure this will be my last mod for awhile!

I thought it...but pretty soon our mods are going to be bigger than a a police baton. Which I predicted long ago anyhow...

I think that I will much prefer the shockwave without the kick, I have a feeling that those 26650imr batts are gonna hit pretty awesome for a good portion of the battery. Plus the whole size thing. I just do not feel the trade off for size to performance would be noticeable enough with such a large high drain battery being utilized. Just my opinion though.

I'll be using the kick mostly. I prefer the constant of wattage.

I am sure a lot of people will, I guess I just like to get those harder hits in the beginning of the battery, especially with those rhodium plated contacts. At the beginning of the batt with a 1.5 atty, the math works out to 11.5 watts, and still over ten watts at 3.9, and I imagine it will take quite some time(relative to other batts) to get the batt down there. Dont get me wrong, I have a variable wattage device and I love the consistency but I think the 26650 batt is gonna be more than satisfying for me personally. I may think about a kiklet for my 350 because the device will still be relatively small and the 18350 is a fairly small battery so it could use the extra help. I am gonna wait a bit to see how the consistency is for people. I wish the kick was rhodium plated :)

There's a difference. Waiting with patience means you have been notified properly and with courtesy.
Anxiety sets in when little or no information is given directly to the customer.
Yes, you are right that it is a choice.
But that choice is easier when the mod/pv maker informs with an educated
respectful answer.

Should I point out the inconsistencies with your post or can you read what you have written without a sour opinionated view?

When has Super T or any large volume supplier contacted you directly with info about your order? Remember you chose to bold the word directly and posting in a thread in no way means directly.

The best option and I guess every supplier should take the same route, is to tell everyone that they are doing everything they can possibly do to get things to the buyer but if you can't wait patiently and all your going to do is hold a grudge and start bad mouthing the supplier because they don't work on your schedule, then ask for a refund because there are plenty who would love to take your place. That has been Davids stance from the beginning (as well as the person you call Santa although it's not drilled home as often), and it's my opinion why there aren't any whiners voicing their impatience, in a not so wise fashion, in this thread.

Respectful or firm and decisive. Seems the MSG here is to wait patiently while they get these excellent devices manufactured and out to the customers or move on and get a refund. That approach pretty much shuts the whiners down....yes you are a whiner and one with no balls, as you don't do the whining where it belongs, you drag it into a different supplier thread. Classy or classless.....I'm sure you know my opinion. :D

David has pm'd me several times.
Once, he actually has given me my order number.
DIRECTLY.
If he has done it with me, I'm pretty sure he does it as a matter
of course with his other customers.
Provape has done this for myself and their other customers as well.
Sturm (sturmmod) does it.
Pedro (Caravela) does it.
Van (Line) does it.
Dino and Jon (Lava tank) do it.
Imeo (GG) does it.
Should I go on?
You know not of what you are talking about.
And, seeing as you're a noob here with posts mostly
in one thread, try to keep your eyes and ears open
before calling someone a whiner with no balls.
