Okay so I know I'm a minority here with all you rba fanatics, but I gotta say that the Shockwave + AMP tank + a good atty is my bliss. I just finally loaded the tank up and it is working just as advertised. I am so thrilled with this combo. If you follow instructions it's a game changer. I know, I know, wait and see after a week right? Well we'll see but I'm stoked. Of course I'll still be curious to see what David cooks up for a system.

Congrats to the newest recipients of the SW!

Using mine with a cheap tank (BCCMega) and a regular resistance revomeble coil head and I am blown away by the easy of draw, barely have to draw and am getting a huge hit every time. Glad I changed my mind every other day. Iwant to give the SW another chance and vape while driving. Quick question though, could you use the SW when it rains a bit (the great rainy NW) or will it affect the button?

Just wanted to post an update here. LOVING my SW! This device doesnt just hit like a freight train, it hits like a 200 car coal train on the way down the Rockies Eastern Slope! I have had to increase my resistance a bit, to help keep it under control, :p. I usually use 1.4-1.5 on a 3.7v device (including P+); thats usually perfect. With the SW, have had to go to 1.6/7 in my DiDs, or it gets my throat too much:laugh:.

Even my horse seems interested:toast:
Well worth the wait!

That does look proper nice, i have to say. Sometimes i wish i'd love rebuildables more, i'd go for the satin Kayfun 3.1 i think.
Right now mine has the smok RDA on it with a satin Mark-T drip tip.

I'm with you. But the Ody and Penny's design and functionality are phenomenal. Rarely do I vape a tank of any kind, but this Ody has had a long long wait for its mate.

The threaded hole was just a bit of forethought, i figured the switch assembly would need to be removed in some cases, so its threaded with 8-32 thread so one can just screw a bolt in it to pull it out. WARNING....don't anyone think you can just pull it out and it'll go back in. You think the bottom takes skill to put back together, thats a cake walk compared to the top. There is no need to ever pull it until ones switch should fail. There is nothing in there to clean or adjust.

Whew, that's a relief! Reason being that when Tristan arrived the delrin had jostled out about 1/8" during shipping. I shoved it back in no problem and it's staying put, but I was worried there was a tiny screw laying on my carpet somewhere.

Hi Jules, I remember when you were worried about dropping it in the toilet David said no harm would come to the SW because there are no electronics to short out. cheers!

EDIT: I realized that wasn't exactly your question, it was "can you use it (in the rain)"? Well it won't hurt the SW, just try to keep it as dry as possible and stop if it gets wet or if you notice it heating up really fast (shorting out) stop and get the batt out. Personally I wouldn't vape in the rain if it can be avoided, those IMRs can release tremendous current if shorted.
Two of the greatest triumphs in vaping.

Satin ShockWave and V1 Odysseus, in full satin big mode. :D

Sigh, that is beautiful to behold.
Wow, I just discovered where the serial number is inscribed on the top cap. Nobody's mentioned it yet?
It's visible.
Wow, cool. I never noticed, I just thought it was under the delrin, but it's on that little ledge of the cap that's level with the delrin, it's so small my failing eyes failed to notice until you mentioned it.
