Fools rush in, they say. From one fool to another, rush in there and let's see what we see . . . .

I emailed David about it and he assured me nothing's amiss. I wouldn't characterize mine as "bending" but I can see why you'd say that. He warned me to take note of how the wires nest in the top cap. I've just decided in the interests of science that we ought to see if some fool took it apart whether some fool could get it back together again. :D

Before mine arrived, I was thinking about it. I thought it would be too big and cumbersome to use away from home. Not so. It's big, yes, but not nearly as big and hefty as I thought it would be. After using it, no way I'm selling mine. So smooth, and the best hitting mod I own. Great device. I hear such rave reviews of devices like the Caravela, but I find it hard to believe (without using one) that they work better than the Shockwave. The no-maintenance aspect of rhodium is enough to trump just about anything else, as far as I'm concerned.

Edit: Rhodium AND palladium. That just sounds cool.

just to note if anyone wants to sell there shockwave, please pm me :D

Oh, and given the size, I'm loving it with the small rebuildable drippers like the Igo-L. I have stated before that I hate dripping. However, having experimented with pure cotton from a cotton ball, I am having great success with the drippers. Awesome wicking, awesome flavor, and much less fiddling than with the SS wicks. Not good while driving, but otherwise a pure win. And it keeps the size of the Shockwave very manageable.

Your a brave man Snork..........

That's exactly why I want to take it apart.
My silver one's button feels different than my satin. The satin, like you said, has some play beyond the activation point. The silver one stops. I want to get in there and see if there's a reason or if it's just personality.

Mine feels solid........

Snork is going to take one apart as we discussed, but i don't recommend anyone else pull that switch unless one is needing to replace a switch. Nothing in there to bend or break and nothing needs maintenance in there.
