I feel for you, Russ. Having your wife not into vaping must be a PITA for someone like you who thrives on learning about it and turns it into a hobby (obsession) I'm the same way, but at least my wife is a REOnaut. She just didn't latch on to it as a hobby like I have.
Anyway, keep doing what you're doing because all of us in here are vape crazy just like you.

Great vid, too funny Russ! Thanks again for doing that detail vid and rocking those tension builds! Just ordered the RM4 to try my hand at the duals. Did not want to do that till I got the right coil fishing gear. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks. Now have to cut the extra length of my gizmo and get that piece bent to use as the coil placer. Brilliant, would never have thought of that!

Here is a fly combo I found at WalMart. I'm sure it's much cheaper than a Cabela's setup. Think it might work? My other reels and open-face reels would never be altered for this purpose.

UPDATE:
received the reel and rod (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Martin-9-2...Combo/22573689) this morning and it does not have adjustable tension on the fly wheel. So it has to go back to Walmart
Also the wrapping of Kanthal on that fly wheel will be hard to do, it has one small steel rod that would hold the Kanthal. So back to looking at fly wheels for me.
