I saw the review that GrimmGreen had done on youtube and almost instantly wanted one. So I went to ENS and was instantly shocked to find out that the Tekk mod costs $120! So I got to snooping around on google and found that the Tekkeon Charger only costs $45 on Amazon with free shipping. What I'm driving at, Is what makes this mod worth paying an extra $75 from the base price of the unit? I have seen the youtube video on how the thing is made and there is no reason as to why ENS has to put a $75 dollar markup on it. Is there someone out there that would make a tekk mod if I supplied the Tekkeon Charger? I really don't want to pay $120 bucks to have one though....

You can buy a tekkeon charger for $45 but it won't vape. You also have to account for about $5 for parts any self respecting modder will replace the crap batteries it comes with so that is another $15 plus an hours worth of labor another $20 all of which is taxed as well. Tekk mods also break easily, you can't sell one that is cracked so you have to take into account the loss taken when one is broken modding them. So $120 is only about a 40% markup, I think that is fairly reasonable.

Crap batteries? Mine came with Samsung cells, a very good cell from a top tier company. Many long time self-respecting modders have come to respect the Japanese/Korean Li-Ions.

I have not modded a tekkeon, but I have seen other charger mods that come with low density batteries that would not last very long for vaping, particularly at 5v.

I bought a VVTekkon Mod for a hundred bucks in the classifieds about a year ago and still use it all day everyday. The charge lasts for 3 days and I am a heavy vapor. When I get home I switch to a smaller VV Mod for the evening. The Tek is for work I drive allot and I love not having to charge or change batts.
