I was one of the first to have signed it
As I've said somewhere in another topic, my experience of these Number10.gov.uk polls is that they don't pay much attention to them unless there's a
minimum of
2000 signatures. After all, they get 1000s of these petitions every day so they're more likely to look at those with the most signatures on them.
The other petition has just over 3000 signatures. Granted, some of them are from Americans who can't sign the No.10 one as they're not Brits, but not all of them! If one's an expat living abroad, one can, however, sign it. So where are all the Brits who signed the other one?
I have to admit to being sceptical of these online petitions having any effect, but it doesn't hurt to sign it and I signed it despite being sceptical. So I would encourage every Brit to please sign it too.
