However, we thought it would be most delightful if we had a suitable tray in which to place our E cigs whilst not smoking lest they rolled around the table and, horror of horrors got scratched or fell. So, the idea of creating a lovely soft, felt lined "Stashtray" sprung to mind. I will post photos upon its completion and will leave the red wine right alone during its creation.

Over and out ladies and gents, thanks for reading!

On that note, I've actually been using a decorative piece used for laying your chopsticks on normally. It's become a fun little art piece when I go to my local coffee shop or am at my computer. :)

Being a hoarder by nature, I never throw anything away. So when I got my new e-cigar, I took one look and went hunting for my leather pocket cigar case, given to me by my wife a few years ago - thinking it might be a good fit and way to carry my new toy safely.

I was right, and it has proved better than I first thought.
I have room for my e-cigar, two spare cartridges, and using empty cartridge cases - two batteries. There is even a slot in the base just big enough to carry a couple of e-cigs.co.uk business cards for enquiring minds and settling arguments.

I’m ready to hit the road!

Still got to find a way to improve that mouthpiece though. A holed cap is a little better (at least I can grip that with my teeth) but it still ain’t like biting down on a stogie.

anyway here's a pic or two

Requirements for a e-cig case:

Enough room to store at least a full day’s paraphernalia; batteries; USB leads/chargers, e-liquid.
About the size of a file-o-fax (for those of us that remember them!)
Loads of elastic to hold things in place – like what Liberate_Yourself posted.
In high quality leather and really, really expensive.
Identified before the other-half asks me “What do you want for Christmas?”

She never expects a reply – I’d love to surprise her ;).

How is everyone dealing with cartridges in their cases? New, wrapped carts are fine obviously, but refilled carts seem to leak a bit with transport... all over everything. I usually just drip, but for car rides, bull-riding, gun battles, or other times when manipulating self-administered poison is inconvenient or unwise, I like to use a cartridge... and it's nice to have some on hand. Am I just overfilling, or not doing it right in some other way?

I can't speak for other carts, but the cigar ones also come in these neat little 1/3 cigar shaped tubes, which should keep things dry even with refils, and in the shimmers case even fit the batteries.
The caps are a little loose, so in practice I wouldn't put them in my case cap down (like in my pics) but cap up should be fine.

Speaking of cases: soot I get your point, but for general 'going out' I want something smallish and comfortable in my pocket, not man-bag size :D especially if I'm on the bike.
3 bats + 3 carts (one of each in the shimmer) + the cigar itself should be enough for a day and will fit in my leather?

For around the home I have put in a 'hint' to my wife for a nice solid wood box that will sit unobtrusivly on the coffe table or desk - something in rosewood or laquerwork would suit my taste.

However, for trips upto Scotland in the jeep (my preferred hol destination) I can see where a good bag like the others might be useful... food for thought.

New to all this and just got my new mini fogger today as a first e-cig.. Cudos to all the folks out here giving us so much info, been reading for days now.. No burn baby your stashtray is a great idea.. Was thinking a nice round block of wood maybe oak sitting on the table, round holes that you can stand your e-cig upright keeping the e-juice gravitating to the atomizer, no need for them to lay horizonyal anymore.. Hmmm maybe I'm giving away a good idea here..

I just save the little plastic "lid" when I unwrap new carts and reuse them. My used carts are collected in a small mints container until I get around to syringe-ing the unused liquid out of them and cleaning them and refilling them.

I, too, usually just drip. I have found that I cant do this well while driving. In my case it's more like, I don't drive well while dripping. Has anyone had a collision while doing this? That's a right fine way to run into a strange situation with the police. "Ya see, I was busy dripping this liquid stuff into this gadget so I could inhale the vapor and the next thing I know..."

DON'T DRIP AND DRIVE FOLKS - we have enough drips out there driving already. Myself included.

You are giving away good ideas here. That is what we all do. That is what makes this a phenomenal forum. If you want to set up a side business making e-cig stands, I'm sure you'll get plenty of business even if we could do it ourselves. The tinkers on here all share their ideas openly and freely, and I am sure, still get lots of requests from those who are less adept. I know I have begged for someone to do things for me that I don't feel confident doing myself.

You're absolutely right Nicowolf..dripping and driving isn't fun..

I almost crashed my car the first time I tried it..it was at night so visibility was bad inside the car..I looked down to concentrate on getting the little dropper over the atomiser and gave a few drops..then looked up to see a lampost right in front of me !!!

Now I make sure I drip BEFORE I start off..or do it quickly at the lights before they change..this helps if you have a loose cart that slips off the atomiser quickly..

Ah yes, annoying when that happens! I have two small carry cases these days, one for carts/liquid and one for the E cig and spare batts/atomisers just incase leakage occurs. I guess the obvious solution if you want to carry everything in one case is to either slip the carts in a small plastic baggy or food bag prior to putting them in your case OR having a multi compartmented case and popping carts/juice in one section within a plastic bag. The Pergamano cases on Ebay are ideal for this.
