Hello all,

I have a VAMO and am loving it for the most part, but I have an issue when I switch to "short mode". The 18350s that I have (I'm not sure of the brand, but they are the red IMR 18350 850mah type) don't last for any length of time. I'm getting around 1 1/2-2 hours of use per battery. With the same brand of 18650 (1600mah) I get about a day, and with the Panny 18650s I get about 2 full days.

I have checked and the batteries are reaching full charge, 4.1-4.2v range. They are also practically brand new (less than 5 hours of usage each).

I know that battery life is a little subjective and really based on how much I use it, so I tried these in a borrowed LT mini for a little while and was getting 5-ish hours of usage.

I'd love to be able to use this device in short mode but with that kind of battery life I'd need to tote around half a dozen extra batteries.

Any suggestions?

... i get about six hours of chain vaping out of mine now.

Same here... in fact these days, I pretty much use 18350s (900mah) exclusively in my Vamo. Fits my hand better in short form. I get about 4 to 6 hours out of each one. These are actually off brand 18350s that came with an e-pipe mod. Gray, D.K.L. Battery Company batteries...

Apuck... what are you firing the Vamo at? What was the LavaTube at? Higher volts/watts will (obviously) kill the batteries quicker...

I've tried the VAMO all over the wattage board (because I'm new to the VW feature) but run it around 7 watts typically. Voltage I ran constant between both devices at 4.2 because I do realize higher voltage uses more power. It just seems strange to me that all other things being equal that the battery drain is so much faster with the VAMO. I'll try several more cycles and hopefully that will fix things.

Hey apuck - so did cycling the batteries make any difference in your battery life? I have noticed the same thing with my Efest 800mah flat-tops. When they are stacked, I get good battery life, but when I run my Vamo in single 18350 mode, I get maybe 2 hours of vaping in before the battery needs recharged. Since stacking batteries doesn't increase their capacity, only the voltage, I can't figure out what the problem is. Granted I have the Vamo set to 14 watts, but even so, I doubt it is delivering more than 9 or 10. I know that might sound like a crazy-high wattage, but if you're familiar with RBAs, you'll understand. :)

Vape on!

I just got my Vamo a couple days ago and a single eFest IMR 18350 800 mAh lasts me between 7 and 8 hours and I'm not a light vaper...I'm sure the 2 lithium 18650's I have at 2200 (Joyetech) and 3400 mAh (Panasonic) will do a bit better than that. I do like the single battery configuration though....especially when traveling. Makes the Vamo a good deal lighter, smaller, and easy to carry.

My AW IMR 700 mah batteries do the same thing. I have my Vamo set at 9 watts in rms mode and they just drain fast Mine were new and now they arents but I haven't gotten to 10 charges each yet since I had 6 of them plus I switched to my 18650 size Got tired of changing batteries.

These are the best 18350 batteries I am aware of for use in a Vamo.
I use 2 in a normal day vs 1.5 days on a Panasonic CGR18650CH.
