OK, first off, I am a smoker of 15+ years, and have been cutting down on Smokes every week, and am a huge supporter of "the movement" and keeping vaping around, But just keep seeing more and more negative about it around every turn.

I Know vaping is wayyyyyy to new to really diagnose what effects vaping/second hand vape in humans or animals, so I thought I'd ask here instead of a place that is probably biased against vaping and near PITA, like where it seems you can't do anything right...

After reading this article , it did make sense , as our 2 house cats have had similar issues ( sneezing while anywhere near vapor, or hacking like they are trying to get rid of a hairball ) and no, I don't blow it near them or cloud chase, but do have a mod and tanks that definetaly produce a room that can smoke up the room, SO its the lingering that I am concerned about.

Whether it be PG, VG, or Nicotine, I was just wondering if there is anything that I should be concerned about.. I tend to be the type of person that tries to eliminate the issue before it starts ( overly paranoid at times ) but when it comes to the furry family, I'd rather be safe than sorry, as most who have pets, think of them as family..

When I started vaping I checked out the possibility of harm to cats from it. FWIW, I came to the conclusion that as long as they didn't slurp up juice, the low concentration of anything in the air that could hurt them was not worth considering. I do not however blow vapor at any animals :)

Good luck with it!

Thanks for the heads up.. It was just one of those things that caught me offguard, and wanted to make sure the little furballs were ok.. Regardless, I have been vaping in the bathroom with the fan on, like an paranoid introvert.

The few vape pens and nautilus mini I have don't concern me as much, but when the Cleito 120 or BBB tank is on and the room starts to look like London on a foggy day, I just thought I would ask for my own benefit

My experience was this:
I've been vaping for six years. I had two cats and they both died this last year. One was 18 and the other was an 8 year old ticking time bomb of a congenital heart defect.
I really miss my cats.
I'm sorry about your fur babies, it's hard losing family pets.

2 cats usually - I finally got an air purifier for the TV room which does get foggy quite quickly....but have had normal fans in the past, just to keep the air moving.

Not specifically for the cats as such but just so I can actually see the TV screen and it helps towards keeping the windows clear of build up too.

For the rest of the house, it`s not a problem, just a nuisance in the winter when windows and doors are closed more than open.

I never blow vapour anywhere near them - and wouldn`t, as I never blew cigarette smoke anywhere near any animal.

I think as long as you`re not totally and permanently fogging a restricted enclosed environment up with vapour all of the time, it should be OK - just treat the animals like you would a child and common sense will prevail.
