Yes - Problems with bottles here too.

Technonut – thanks for the tip… think I’ll have to try that one too. I thought about that, but thought it might leak.

David, can you or anyone give a site and a specific bottle to order that we know will work?

I’m ditching the dripper tip for now, but do want to be able to swap easily and quickly when on the go. I was poo-pooing those folks for complaining about not including the bottle, but I must admit, after fussing with different ones for more than 2 hours, I think it's probably a good idea after all.

All of the Child Proof bottles aren’t made the same. All threaded into the feeder, but drippers appear to come in different sizes (I believe this was mentioned in an earlier post). They are from COV and I think one of the other listed venders – been stockpiling a while for my own DIY.

The only bottle I have that works is from ESmoker I believe – 5ml, hard, clear plastic. Like the clear, not the hard. It feeds great (rigged new bottom feed tubes) but crumpling and will probably crack.

Even though they thread, the dripper tip won’t fit. I thought it was length at first, but it’s diameter is too large. That eliminated my soft bottles until I can cut down the nipple width on the dripper.

On others, the shoulder is too wide - I’m thinking a trim might make them work, but no time for that now.

Maybe I can get enough time to play around next weekend, but I think for now I’d better find a source to order from.

Thanks for the great feeder… I’m lovin’ this thing! Nicely done.

OK fellow VapeMater's, I just received a reply from the guy in Scotland that included the great 6ml bottles with his juicebox that are working very well for me... He gets them from the good ol' USA on eBay. :)

The bottles are sold in lots of 100, and work out to around 28 cents each shipped. The guy did warn me that while the seller has other sizes available, they are NOT as soft and flexible as the 6ml. Just a heads-up on that.. ;) Perhaps a few of us can PM each other, and get together on this.

I have sent e-mails and placed an order from one vendor. I'll let everyone know as soon as I know something.
I have 3 5ml bottles from a specific vendor, but I have not ordered from them in awhile-sent an e-mail to see if they still use that specific bottle. They have a short dripper cap and it has a flat outter edge that snaps onto the bottle-not into. Theses are also soft-sided bottles.
This is a picture of the dripper that works on mine-the tip is short.

Did you tell Jay about it? He seems to be a good guy, and more than likely would repair it for you. The Bartleby is top on the list of favs in my arsenal... ;) I love the size and quality of build, along with the USB charge capability..

:offtopic:..........

I looked, and can't find you there...

i bought it from the classifieds....:)....

Tip of the Day: Do not use ecig with VapeMate attached in the morning until you are fully awake, as you may find yourself dripping three drops into the drip tip.

Not that I did that or anything....

When I woke up this morning, it was dark and I was not fully awake either. Next thing I knew, I had juice flooding everywhere.

I like using anywhere between a 2.5-3 ohm atty on the LS.. I'm leaning toward the 3.0. On the Bartleby, I tried-out a L/R 1.7 ohm, and the flavor was too "cooked" for my liking. I switched to a 2.5 ohm, and really enjoy it. Lots of flavor, and BILLOWING vapor. :vapor:

I do NOT use the drop topper on my bottles with the VM. I just tilt the bottle / PV, give it a slight squeeze until my preffered amount of juice shows in the sight window, lower the VM / PV, and shoot er' in. :) Works great for me, and is easy to do..

I have those same 6ml bottles. They will work and not leak without the tip, but when you want to make a flavor change it's quite messy. I modified the tip on mine by cutting it about half way down. If you look closely at the tip you will see a ring, cut just above that. Then I used a (new clean) pencil sharpener to shave some of the girth off. Work perfect without the mess now.

Does that mean that I (still waiting for shipment of order #3962) will get a bottle and with tip that will fit?
In other words, I won't have to run around getting bottles together?
Will you ship them to all buyers ?
Is there an extra charge?
And if we want extra bottles, do you have drip tips and adapters avail. and /or coming to your "accessories for VM" section???

It's saturday; i feel entitled to ask... lol... :)

I never did try to use the dripper tip with the bottle.. IMO, with my method of injecting juice, they are not needed. As for changing bottles, I just unscrew the bottle, screw another one in, and put the lid back on the other. It's not messy at all for me... :?:

so you say you can "see" the right amount of juice in the sight window?

This looks like a nice short and soft bottle. Anybody know if the VapeMate would fit both the threads and tip of this bottle?

1/4 oz LDPE Plastic Bottles w/Yorker Disp Caps #100 - eBay (item 360311483809 end time Nov-17-10 15:58:43 PST)

Uh-oh....now that I look at the top of it, that just may not fit at all. But this is the 'size' bottle I'm looking for if anybody knows where I can find one. The one I want would be a soft rubbery-like plastic and no longer than 2 inches from the tip to bottom of bottle.

Huh... When I tried using the bottle without the tip, there was juice all over inside the VapeMate. I had to clean it out before changing flavors. Maybe I will try it again.

I am using the included "O" ring with the VM... I really do not change flavors that often either. If I were to change to a totally different flavor, I would either change atties, or a least blow-out the one used, dry-burn, and rinse the VapeMate out anyway. Since I am primarily a tobacco flavor user, I won't need to do that often..

I have the 6ml bottles that the threads do fit, but the dripper tip doesn't. I like to use mine with the dripper/nipple tip in for ease of bottle change.

I agree GatorGirl.... much preferred and less messy.

Great idea.... I'll have to try the pencil sharpener again... maybe a different one would work. Back to searching the drawers!

Techonut,

I have use for a lot of those bottles so I ordered the 100 lot. I'll post a thread when I get them and folks can just say how many they want. Price will be the actual cost and the cheapest postage I can find to keep the cost down. That way nobody's cost goes up because of shipping if they only want a few.
