The syringe mod? Its fairly easy...the only 'special' tool you need is a ten dollar mini tube cutter from Home Depot or some such.

They don't have to be modded this way to enjoy them though...

sorry, don't mean to take Dave's thread :offtopic:

read my latest blog post for more info about it...

I've been reading that E2 carto thread and wondering, can I do that?

Let me preface by stating that I do live in a small town, so I probably get by with more than I would in a big city somewhere, but I vape everywhere here. I vape standing in line at Walmart, eating in restaurants, etc. I did take my VapeMate to town with me today on errands and stopped by to show it to my mom as well. Mom's take was that it's a bit strange looking, but if it vapes cleanly avoids dripping/refilling carts then it must be good. Stopped by the local Autozone where I can usually run into any number of my buddies depending on how long I hang out. They've all gotten used to me vaping and typically ask what flavor I'm vaping today when I come in. They looked a bit puzzled at the new "contraption"(small town talk) I had today. I explained my reasoning for using it and they got on board no problem. I also have friends in town who are cops and they've had no problem with it and are familiar with the difference between an ecig and a drug pipe, so don't give me any hassles or questions.

Mostly no matter what I'm vaping, I enjoy getting the chance to help others out and share my experiences. Vaping has helped me enormously and I just want to help others.

Here are five pics of the Bead Blasted VM which arrived this morning. I used a 10ml bottle with childproof threading since that's the smallest size bottle I have that works without modding.

The first three pics are of the VM on my P16 with a 510 atty:

The last two pics are of the VM on my P18 with the 801 Semi atty from Ikenvape:

thanks;
with all the talk about bottles, i imagine, with the dozens of empty bottles i have around, at least a couple of them will fit....
Dave's sending out botts... so ... all i need is my VM...
and some of that tubing... either 1/4" or 3.16"...
Thanks! It works beautifully and actually mostly self feeds with the 801 atty as long as I have it in near the horizontal position.

I have two of these bottles and they came from StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop!. They are $0.65 each. Here is the link:

Edit: Btw, they ship FAST! CA to TN in two days, they processed and shipped the order the same day.

I bought a Vapemate and it is very well built.
Unfortunately,I'm having a problem using it.
I'm feeding too much juice to the atomizer.
I've tried different methods to limit the amount of juice fed to the atomizer but I'm flooding it anyways.

If you are running it without a tube in the bottle, you control the the amount of juice dispensed, so the only recommendation i can make is to squeeze less hard or less long. (hope that doesn't come off as being a smart aleck, i don't mean it that way). I would recommend taking the juice feeder off the atomizer, putting water in a bottle and visually view how much comes out when you squeeze and then you can get a feel for it and adjust accordingly.

Everyone please remember the amount and length of time you push the bottle will depend on how much is in it as well.

Nice clean look on the 801. Although I am not interested in the VM, it may be nice to see how you adapted the VM on your 801 atty. Nicely done. Pics please :)

Yep, I'd love to see that, also.

I'm not in a position to offer pics right now but I can easily explain what I did.

1. Take a 510 carto condom and cut it in half. I have two different kinds, one with the thinner rubber and one with the thicker rubber. The thinner one works better.

2. Insert the condom partially into the 801 atty. You want most of the condom sticking out above the atty.

3. Now take the VM and insert it in the condom. If you feel like the VM is pushing the condom down into the atty before the condom goes up past the rubber gasket on the VM, you may want to hold the condom with a pair of tweezers. Just remember that it's important for the condom to stay in the atty during this procedure.

4. Once the carto condom goes up past the gasket on the VM, simply push the VM down into the atty.

I'm sure someone else will come out with a much better way of making this work but for the time being it works great for me. It's not 100% perfect but the VM stays in nice and snug. I can pick up the whole assembled unit as shown in the pic by holding just the Ttip and the VM does not come out of the atty. I'd give it a score of 7 out of 10.

Hope this helps and I would love to hear if someone else has a better way of doing this.
