The vaper by petar k automatic Genisis

...as you already know, "the vaper" is the first mechanical automatic combo "genisis" type mod. Everything about this mod is different to the standard "genisis" type mods, actually the entire approach is different...
In a few words: small, light, with big tank, automatic switch under soft silicon mouthpiece... simply, just a new vaping experience.

So, what's that special about this mod?
mechanical automatic switch;
it's only ~30gr (without battery);
it has fairly big tank for its size ~ 2,7ml;
only 15mm id;
it's fully optimized for the new "SetUp";
there are two, simetrically placed air holes;
soft silicon mouthpiece.

characteristics:
the body & top cap: stainless steel
battery cap: aluminum
mouthpiece: silicon rubber tubing
tank: plexyglass
DIN: stainless steel A4
dimensions: 130mm long, and 15mm wide
battery: 14500

Why there is no a small filling port at the top of the tank?
If i ( petar k ) made a bigger filling port, it would need a screw, which would need a screwdriver. In public? I don't think so.
If i ( petar k ) made a smaller filling port, since there is (maybe more than) enough free space around a mesh - it would leak. Also, you would need an injection - in public? No.
I( petar k ) have decided, since this unit is made for the new type Unoxidized SetUp, which uses the mesh with ~1,5mm "chimney", not to drill any filling holes. So, the solution is using small plastic bottle with a siring on it's top (link under), which is the simplest solution, and also "public friendly".

The switch operates by simple pressing (with lips) steel spring, which is covered with soft silicon rubber tubing.
The switch is connected to the longer (-) connector/electrode, inside the "chamber".
The top cap should be always placed simetrically: the switch goes in the line with the logo; air holes are pointed to the center of the tank's windows.

In this case, the "safety lock" function would be simple pulling out the top cap from the body (~1mm is enaugh). By doing so, the connection between the minus connector and the switch is cut off.

We are riding the Blue Ridge and then moving on to Key West if the weather (hurricane season) looks good beyond SC. I planned on using an ego neck lanyard to carry my "the vaper". Very much look fwd to the vaper, and have followed Petar since he posted his first video over at VaporWall, as a few have done .

We should post up the Petar K method of setup here also

Feel free to post whatever you think will help the thread . I went ahead and tried the petar k method on my Orion it worked surprisingly well I like it . Im hoping he ships them soon also I'm going to a local vape meet on the 25th and want to show it off .

I don't know what this petar k method is, but the vaper looks sweeeet. I've been trying to get something like this for awhile. I want to use a hybrid, but none seem to be 14500, my prefered battery/size. I've got a rebuildable atomizer on the way for my icon, but that still leaves the issue of having a 510 connection laying about. This seems to be the solution, and I imagine that having an "auto" mechanical would be really neat. I look forward to this becoming more widely available.

Here is the noxidised "genisis" SetUp (how to)
by petar k the maker of "the vaper genisis automatic". I take no credit for this, but will be trying it with the vaper when I get it.

...first of all, you will need a "Genisis" type mod


and:



from left to right: ~5cm 0,25mm NiChr/Cekas/Kanthal wire, 10x20mm 400 mesh, 2mm, 1.5mm and 1mm borer/nail/needle... (in the rest of the text: "tool"), and tweezers. (1mm needle is not on the picture above)




part 1: wire coil



make wire loops on 2mm (in this case - borer).



loops/wraps should be tightened well, and they mast be all equally parallel wrapped.


now, mount the coil in your unit, and fasten below end of the wire to the shorter connector.




than, using a needle (small and sharp one), make (equal/parallel(!) spaces between the loops. when you do that, fasten the other end of wire to the taller/longer connector.



when you finish spacing, pull out 2mm "tool", and glow red the coil - for cleaning and resistance "stabilisation". also, it will make the coil stiffer, so it doesn't deform so easily.



when done, it should look like this:










part 2: mesh - wicking


roll the mesh around 1mm id. tool. make it tight and try to flatten/smooth the mesh's edges.


than, put inside the mesh 1.5mm tool, and tighten it.



pull out 1.5mm tool and push inside 2mm tool. now, the mesh's surface should be "perfectly" rounded and smooth.





...burning - not "oxidating". torch it once, and do it to the entire surface of the mesh. it will clean the mesh and make it stiffer.
also, before burning make sure that your 2mm "tool" is pulled of - actually pushed in, but only few millimeters, just to hold the mesh when you torch it.



now, put the mesh inside the coil. it must go through the coil very easily. make it just a little wider on the top so it doesn't fall inside tank.



so, it looks like this:


now, when you have perfectly shaped mesh coil - vape it!


note: 2mm id wide mesh should be made from just ~10mm mesh sheet because: it doesn't make too big pressure to the coil; it doesn't clogs too soon; and the most important - it wicks, and watts are not spent for mesh heating, but for e-liquid.

Just coiled and wicked a my NGP and wish I had seen this before hand to try lol

Can see the logic but seen the logic in other methods that has been less than successful than the "normal" method of coiling the wick in situ.

I've been a fan of this mod since petar pulled his thread from the modders forum. I even sent him a pm about it asking why he pulled the thread. I am glad to see that his efforts have come to fruition! Good luck petar k, I hope I get a chance to vape that apv one day.

I tried in my Orion and it worked pretty good . I popped my coil though I think I need more practice with this method

For the Orion, I do a similar thing with my coils as Petar, but I do the "Jack Frost" for the mesh. Then burn some Boba's on the end for the coil & wick hole. Slide the mesh wick in and go.

I had not realized Petar had pulled his thread or that he had one here. However, I did touch base with him and he said it was fine with him to do this thread and he had already read it. He deserves a lot of credit IMO for breaking the mold of typical genisis setups.

Today was apparently a postal holiday in Croatia, so shipping may start tomorrow!!!

I do like the I idea of hardening the coil in situ rather than tempering it before hand. Not so certain about having an unoxydised wick though.

Really tempted to recoil the HellFire just to play with this lol I am still getting to grips with coiling so this looks a breeze.

Ok so nearly followed all the instructions but just couldn't quite manage to put an unoxydised wick in the HellFire. Must also confess that the wick is just off the bottom. Will copy it exactly next week when I get my Vaper.

Got the neatest coil I have ever made on a geny. Nice and stable at 1.8 ohms which is fine as it is on a ProVari.

Mine came in this morning!!! My USPS delivery person called me on her cell to insure I was home and to let me know I had a registered mail package. It was this or the DID Isn't she sweet. I let her know I had re-graveled the drive and no more pot holes for her to dodge on my 1/4 mile drive. She thanked me, and me her. 5 minutes later there she is. It was from Croatia

I set it up. Initially it kept firing, added a little olive oil on the switch, and it is good now. Also, I used the 28g Petar provides @4/5 wrap and my own mesh/wick that slid down in there just so tight enough to hold in place. To hot for me. Went up a wrap or 2 (not sure TBH) using his method. Slid in the wick. Used a screwdriver to test fire to check for hotspots. Primed and am going now. OMG. It's a genisis Hyprid the size of a 1000mah eGo battery (total size). Vapor is crazy, and flavor is getting better as the coil settles in some. The fill hole has a little plug that I left out since I am using 100%VG to help wicking...

Very happy here. Will post some pics later. Thanks to Petar for making these, and my postal delivery lady, she really is a sweetheart and I should have goodies for her next time
