To clarify, my stance isn't against cloud chasers, but the general attitude of most youths today. I was at a bar a year ago, sitting on the smoking patio with some friends. A group of "hipsters" was behind us smoking something else. I kindly asked them to move to the empty part of the patio if they wanted to partake of that as I'm allergic and had just spent a bunch of money on booze, taken some pain killers and didn't really like the idea of puking all that back up, as I tend to do around that substance. I didn't tell them to stop, I wasn't rude, just asked nicely.
I was given a lot of grief and "prove it was me" even though it was rather obvious and finally led to the door by the bouncer. Even trying to explain to him, I was considered wrong. I hadn't threatened or touched anyone at that point, but I was ready to!
So when I say I get the OP's point, I've seen first hand, numerous occasions, where they had the "I can do what I want and %^& you if you don't like it!" mentality.
I've vaped in bars and had patrons ask me to stop, no problem. I've been in bars with people blowing clouds that have been asked to stop, they ended up being thrown out for being belligerent. That mentality hasn't helped our cause any.

Well then if i had known about your indecent I would have led the parade for total public
banning of vaping. One can't have people enjoying themselves with adult beverages and
prescription drugs in a public establishment being annoyed. Wait never mind. You have an
allergy. Sorry. Carry on.

:D

I've met maybe 2 people in my entire life who actually have an allergy to the other stuff. I have genuine pity for anyone who does. It's a helluva lot safer, (sans allergy), than mixing booze with pain killers to take the edge off.

just using your post for reference.
please anyone,do not take what I mean when I refer to anyone who has an allergy as
a slight or disfranchising of those with allergies.

The problem is in the real world there are so many things that cause allergies the
real world cannot compensate for each and every single one. It is incumbent for
the person that has the allergy to insure their safety or the guardian in charge of
the allergic person. I as an individual have no moral or ethical obligation to adjust
my life style in any way what so ever to accommodate literally thousands of
situations where I may encounter some one with an allergy.

This does not make me a uncaring clod. When asked I am perfectly willing to
make acommendations as necessary. All I ask in return is for the realization i
can not read minds nor do I have a copy of your medical records for quick
reference in my possession.
Regards
Mike

I have never encountered a belligerent cloud chaser by nature, but I do know lots of folks who hate being told what to do by complete strangers, let alone another vaper who thinks their way is the only way it should be done.
I've never understood the divide between cloud chasers and the rest of the community. Do your thing. I'll do mine. I quit after 17 years of cigs and I like to blow big clouds. If someone asked me to stop you can bet I will stand my ground, especially if their tone is that of "holier than thou".
Get over it. Move on with your life and fight the government, not each other.

I'm sorry you took my point wrong. I suffer from chronic pain, severe chronic pain that I wouldn't wish on anyone! Yes, I was mixing, yes I did have a driver, and yes I asked politely. But the MAJOR discrepancy here, I have LEGAL prescriptions for what I was doing. While I had no issue with what they were doing, and would rather they had done it somewhere else, it was also very ILLEGAL for them to be doing what they were. My allergies included or not. This is KS, and it's frowned upon here, as well as this forum. (See what I did there:thumbs:)

That's not a valid argument, if you're intellectually honest. Prescription painkillers are far more dangerous, and I tend to doubt that your doctor would be ok with you deliberately mixing them with alcohol. You have no "moral high ground" here. ;)

You have a PM.

All of this.
I won't continue this argument here. There's a lot more to me than meets the eye and fankly, it's not your business.

News flash:
You're not the only one here with difficulties, and mine happens to be seeing loved ones die from the misuse of prescription drugs, including mixing them with alcohol.
While it may be none of my business as far as you're concerned, public forums are funny like that. Lots of people with opinions.

Yeah, and I've never spent two months waking up puking my guts out from Oxycontin, I've never Od'd twice on fentanyl trying to get my dosage right. I've never had an argument with a pharmacist because my Dr prescribed a med but they wouldn't give it to me.
I assure you, I'm not making light of my situation, I've been through Hell the last two years, and as of now I'm understanding fully why I stepped away from forums! My Dr is fully aware of my situation, and is working within his means, I'm the one fighting him as I hate taking other meds for the break through pain, I feel like I've gone through a cement mixer the next day, so I supplement with alcohol. There is no way to win in this state.
While I'm sorry for your family, and what you've been through, as much as I hate to say it, there's days I wish I didn't have to deal with this.
And with that, this thread is most likely dead, sorry OP.

The subject should never have come up. I spoke with sawlight via PM to clarify the situation, and trust me, please just let it go.

So anyway, back to the topic. I don't have a problem with the "clouds, bro, clouds" crowd cause if I'm being honest, and vaping were around when I was still a young man, I'dve been one of the cloud chasers myself. ;)

Also, as I said, it really doesn't hurt us. The ANTZ aren't interested in science, reason, or facts. We could all be vaping alone in our houses, with the lights off, under the covers, and they'd still oppose it. They just want to run our lives and make sure we don't enjoy ourselves along the way. The hell with em.

All laws and regulations come about with public approval. Change the perceptions of the public and you can change laws. Educate...don't annoy.

Every story on e-cigs that I have seen on the TV has a anti-vapor guy in a white lab coat vs. a tattooed guy (who owns the local vape shop) blowing clouds. Which one do you think your grandmother is going to trust.

Don't get me wrong. When I'm at home, I can blow with the best. But out and about, I'm as tootle as they come.
