It's 2028, what does vaping look like?
Ya, OK, I'm game.......
In the year 2028 I'll be lurking in the threads of ECF but no longer posting. A popular thread will discuss in detail BP's newest 4 watt $249.99 plastic pod mod
(prescription required) and how costs have come tumbling down this past year. At the local pharmacy a three pack of 0.5ml, 2mg sealed refill pods can be had for under $70 and tobacco flavor #VII is to die for, much better than tobacco flavor #V or #VI. One poster complains that his new Pfizer mod
(the "Sucker") was DOA and to get a warranty replacement cost him $159 for Pfizer's special "shipping/handling" fees and an additional $30 hazmat charge through the ANPS
(Amazon National Postal Service) owned by the Trump empire. Still, the mood on ECF is upbeat with people routinely posting that spending $800 a month to vape is far cheaper than what smoking zero nicotine cigarettes would cost. In the dark fringes of ECF's sub-forums people will detail how, using a simple syringe, they were able to mix tobacco flavor #II with Tobacco flavors #III and #IV to get a better tasting vape. Unfortunately, discussion
or mention of any other flavor besides "tobacco" or "unflavored" is strictly prohibited since flavored juice is illegal.
I no longer post on ECF because back in 2023 the FDA designated nicotine as a schedule II controlled substance requiring a prescription and made possessing any form nicotine above 3mg strength a federal felony. With what's in my freezer the FDA's actions turned me into a criminal so I try to keep a low profile. With the amount of nic I have on hand an automatic "intent to distribute" conspiracy charge which carries a mandatory 30 year sentence would be filed. Non FDA approved gear
(mods, attys, drip tips etc..) have been legally deemed drug paraphernalia and possession is considered hard evidence of nicotine law violations all but guaranteeing a conviction. High quality 100mg liquid nic is worth $60 per ml on the black market and the number of people in prison for vaping related offenses reaches new highs. The FDA touts that it's tough nicotine laws have succeeded because not a single child has died from a vaping overdose.
Like a scene from "Breaking Bad", I quietly open a cleverly concealed door leading down to my hidden basement and prepare to mix another batch of "flavored" juice using the liquid nic I was wise enough to stockpile a decade earlier. In case I'm ever "discovered" I've intentionally mislabeled each bottle of stored nic "Wacky Baccy" hoping to fool the DEA into believing the contents are a perfectly legal substance instead of villainous nicotine, a schedule II controlled drug. I've strategically placed alligator clips, colored glass pipes, peace signs, ZigZag papers, AC/DC albums, Cheech and Chong posters and empty junk food wrappers throughout the basement to further enhance the deception. Still, I worry that the amount of traffic at my residence with all the 60+ year old ex-smokers just "hanging out" will trigger suspicion that I'm running a nic house. I've even asked all my friends to stop calling me "Nic Daddy" in public,
it's a dead giveaway. At 90 years old the anxiety of being a wild desperado is starting taking a toll on me, my blinged out gold plated walker is feeling mighty heavy these days. I often contemplate selling most of my nic on the black market and moving to a non-extradition "free" country
(like Wakanda) where I could simply enjoy being a carefree multi-millionaire.
