I see now why the glock type aesthetic of the native Vmods is a little basic fer ya! can't wait to see what you do to yours.
lol, Yes, it does remind me of a gun. Actually it was the first thing I thought as I removed it from it's box.
True, I LOVE color and pretty things!

Thanks ladies :D!!
In case anyone is interested, it's OPI Bastille My Heart, covered with Teanage Dream, then Shellac UV Top Coat to make my mani last 2 weeks. My ugly black plastic el-cheap-o BoxMod got the same teatment, ie. nail polish and bling covered with UV Top Coat and under the UV lamp to harden. The mani in that pic, is just blotches of varnish covered with OPI Black Shatter.

I'm wondering what I can do with my VMod XL sleeve... any ideas? Anyone else going to decorate their XL?

I was thinking of sanding mine, then polishing the aluminum to a mirror finish and clear-coating it. But the truth is that I LIKE the Glock aesthetic. The silver one actually seems nice the way it is. It's starting to get worn from handling, and it's friendly in a zippo sort of way, and the logo is very subtle on the silver, and it matches my ProVari. I might still sand it down once it picks up more dings, but I don't know why people talk about how non-durable they are, mine has taken drops in stride, it's not getting ding'ed at all. The black is cool because it makes it look smaller, but my old Vmod 1 had a nicer shiny black finish like an epoxy. With my black one (yes, I got 2), it's sitting in its box as a spare, but I might have to do something as that Vapage logo is a bit much. The most important thing for the aesthetic for me was gluing some adhesive hard foam rubber inside on the battery wall, I posted a picture a while back, so the shell rests against it and doesn't rattle at all. It makes it feel so nice and ... unified. When you put it in your pocket it's compact and solid like a little Walther Ppk in your pocket ... there I go again. We'll see once they offer the rubberized finish shells, some of those looked nice. A propos the burl mods ...

all I did was run a piece of thin metal you could use a piece off of a aliminium can cut it to fit glue it to the side bend it so it fits in to the ground spring of the vmod

Here are better photos of my method. I think Brian's method is better. Mine was quick and dirty.....the description is in the first photos I posted.

I don't think that one method is better than the other as long as it works lol I think ideal method would be a thin tube for a 18490 and the kick to slide in to then insert it in to the vmod kinda like the alpha ultras use but thiner

I just got another XL Vmod and I having that one ChopperStyled and he's putting in the Kick also. If you want a Kick installed for you Mike(Chopperguys) at Chopperstyles will do it for you and if you want pimp it out. I hate that giant Vapage logo on the casing.

Ya know as much as I love the XL and v2, I agree I absoloutly hate the huge logo, couple that with the rattle can texture, it just creates a yuck thing for me, that is why I will be SOOOOOOOOOOO happy when the new cases come out, I just pray they don't have the same texture and feel, and could we loose the huge logo!

I agree I think the little vmod xl logo on the bottom is enough
