Btw, Moofaso ... I've been meaning to mention - That's a cool Quit Date ya got there!

I thought about that one myself but couldn't wait that long so I chose 9-11 as my Q.D. ... to make a positive out of a negative, and all that.

ty, I had to choose a date I could remember before I threw my ciggies out. I have trouble remembering my own birthday sometimes, and the wife's bday and anniversary? forgetaboutit ! :)

The other thing that I really, really like about this mod (and this was a selling point for me) is that it's back-pocket friendly!

I didn't have a mod - with any size to it - that I felt comfortable about carrying in me pocket at work ... now I do!

No more need to carry extra batts or another juice bottle with to see me through a long shift! If an 18650 and a 9 ml bottle won't see me through a night .. well, it might be time to think about slowing down a bit !!

Is the "BF" atty that comes with the unit the same thing as the AMG hybrid that's listed on the vapage site? And does 2ohm work good at 3.7 volts?

There are two types of Hybrid Atomizers: Bottom Feeder & Universal. The BF has feed slots at the base of the barrel & has a silver connector. The Uni has no feed slots & a gold connector. The BF works on both the standard & XL Vmods. The Universal is for the XL only.

Which one is better? Looks like the website only offers the AMG? But the XL comes with the bottom feeder?

It ships with a 2.2ohm Universal Hybrid. I'm not seeing the Universals listed on the site though. They are basically the same...with the exception of the feed ports on the BF model. IMO they are both good.

For anyone wanting to use the IO6 on the xl without any hassle, don't use the IO6 drip tips. I just use the filter colored cover that they ship with. It sits a little low, but the airflow is perfect. It does seem like the IO6 drip tips are just a hair too thick, but the stock caps are fine.

thanks for the idea! and the clean beautiful photo work...

here's my offering; sorry for the mess; my doggie den...

i trimmed the beige cap down, from the closed side, about a third of the way, to get past the inner ribs and opening is wide enough for the i06 barrel, and fitted the d/t on the open end. Pyrex tapered 510/901, an early version. Bingo.
It's almost overkill to have the pyrex on, and i can drip the XL too, but i imagine any d/t would fit.

Must say, this thread is growing leaps and bounds! Welcome new XL'ians.

I almost must say that I'm a bit jealous of those of you using the io6 on it. Mine will just not screw down enuf to fire at all. I even, with great hesitation, pulled up on the center pin a bit, but still nothing. :(

Other than that, I'm loving the Silo, the 306, and even a normal and standard 510 atty that came with a Riva kit. Who knew!

glad you got it in there KatD,
i was worried too, but when i saw the photo, well i forgot all about that...
I had the same issue, with the cap on the barrel, i think it stopped screwing at a point where it met the collar at some point, and wouldnn't fire because it wasn't screwed in enough.
I know to be careful of screwing an atty on too tight, as it could depress the center pin, but i felt it give and eased it down snug... bingo.
