Does anyone know if Evolv will continue the DNA 20 after they come out with the DNA 30? Had a nightmare last night. I received my Tibs 2s and my new DNAs, but they were 30s and would not drop in the Tibs 2...

i'm sure mike will check that once he starts working on getting a quote from evolv

hmm, whatcha gonna do with that provari trim ring if that's what it is? ;)

I can send it to you....it's not threaded or anything....it's just chamfered on the inside like it just sets over the mod. Maybe that's how they all are????

I don't see a use for it for anything I have

i believe that's how they all are and there's no justification for a $15 to $20 price tag imo. even your friend's website has them at a more reasonable price but not if that's the only thing being ordered from europe ;)

i'm waiting on some from sj's sigelei co-op for a buck a piece but those have a slight bevel on top and won't give a seamless transition for the russian and taifun.

It's yours :D.....this one is 23mm diameter and matches up with the Taifun perfectly.

Woo!!! This clone is starting to show its clone teeth.

When I was tearing it down to go scrub I noticed the coil posts were different heights, like they were switched and didn't set level because of the insulator under one post. So I figured they just unscrewed and I would swap them.

What I found truly dumbfounded me!!!

That is a 28g stranded wire soldered to the center pin and the one coil post!!! .....oh and hot glued in

I'm not sure how the authentic FEV is done, but I'm fairly certain it's not done like this.

I'm okay with soldering and wires....but 28g stranded wire is not ok IMHO.

Looks like have some modding to do  .....I think a 20 amp pcb spring pin will work nicely for an adjustable center pin :D

"Oh...no they didn't" (with the proper accent). That's a big easter egg. Maybe post this in the general RBA section just as a public service announcement. Not everybody has your skills to deal with that design element....

I posted in a FEV thread in the RBA forum. Do you think it needs it's own thread?

I'm thinking I'll press in a stainless negative post and solder it from the back. Then make a brass plate with spring ping soldered to it and then a threaded stainless positive coil post that threads into the brass plate....with some appropriate insulators.

Thanks bj, it looked like a standard battery holder I just had to make sure. I'm impressed with the Groove board output, thanks again for testing it, finding it for sale, etc.

Wow, bap! That's truly amazing. I don't think I've ever seen an atty with wires soldered inside.

My KFL+ clone is going strong, I'm really liking it. The vertical coil didn't do it for me, I'm sticking with a standard micro coil and loving every hit. FT TFGT is still on the way, but so is a SQuape which might get to me first. If nothing else, the SQuape makes wrapping new coils while the tank is full much easier. I'm not sure which is more irritating, an unsatisfying coil or having to drain the tank from a BFT to make any kind of adjustment.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Bap, that is really quite funny, as long as one hasn't bought one of those. Is that the spring loaded pcb pin you've used before? While we are at it, have you got a link for them, I'm sure I could put them to use somewheres. If you want you can PM the link as the clonemasters seemingly don't have them where they live. :)

Maybe it is supposed to act as a fuse????
