I think I'm going to lay in bed watching movies today... the last few days have kicked my ....! Chaos at work with too many changes to product lines in just a few days, and me scrambling to keep up (marketing)... plus construction in my house (removing a fireplace, replacing walls and flooring after roof leak and water damage)... and the construction has stirred up the creepy crawlies - a spider bit me on the face the other day, I found a black widow in my kitchen window yesterday morning, then a scorpion decided to bum rush me in my bed last night. I didn't sleep worth a darn because I kept looking for scorpions.

Saw a pic of one of these last night (coconut crab - friggin' scary huge!) and I'm so glad we don't have them in Texas...

My scorpion looked like this and was just over 3 inches long (which is about the biggest I've ever seen around here)

And I thought vaping was dangerous :)

You are thinking of the Tasmanian Devil, those are kittens compared to the Honey Badger.

Florida has snakes that will choke a gator to death and visa versa.

Stoopit people turning pythons and boas loose there.
And I did say stoopit, because they are not smart enough to rate stupid.

Just recently here in Houston there was a cobra loose in some apartments, wonder how it got there. :p

Snakes creep me out. Every once in a while I will come across a garter snake in my yard. If I'm mowing, I'll just run over it with the mower.
Garter snakes eat slugs and insects. They are good to have around for a garden especially and of course are non venomous. Harmless

The other day, one of our cats found a garter snake. I removed it from the cat's mouth. The snake had a frog almost fully swallowed, but the legs still sticking out. Total food chain. All we were missing was a fox. Fortunately.

Was out bush hogging my field one day and ran across a black runner. I learned quick why they are called black runners for they are fast. This one was around 6 foot long and kept attacking the front tire of the tractor until he got a little too close to the back tire and I ran him over and hit him with the bush hog.

Usually if a snake isnt bothering me, I dont bother them unless they are poisonous, and then I like to play catch with them. Here snakey, catch this .357 slug :p

Yep I don't kill non poisonous snakes in the country where I live. If they are where they should not be I just grab em and put them over the hillside. And yes they bite and have sharp little teeth. Just use good antiseptic wash.

I found out that most people WILL get out of your way when you are carrying a wiggly snake ;)

With that said I have no interest whatsoever in having one as a pet. And would not sleep in a house where one was slithering around loose.

Harmless Bees? Many people are killed each year by bees.

Far more dangerous than exploding mech mods.
Bees are scarce these days and they are necessary for pollination. My garden plants had poor production because there were NO bees this year. I could only get a few blossoms to set fruit.

Yeah that is a real problem. I had the same problem a couple of years ago with my last garden. Been thinking about setting up a hive...
Damned Niconids....

Pythons in the house make good pest deterrents. Back when there were still door-to-door salesmen, I was at a friend's house and her python was stretched out across the living room floor just chillin'. The front door was open, and just the windowed screen door was closed. A salesman knocked, and the python raised up and looked him straight in the eye. He turned ghost white, then ran!!

You can't have them with puppies or cats though.

If I had one around here, I'd be happy cause they eat mice and are non venomous.
