Yeah I seem to be in the minority. The popularity of the chainsaw, Freddy, Zombie, etc movies says this to me. Those types of movies do not scare me but just seem gross to me. Yep personal preference. The Omen was a bit scary but a different type of movie.
Now vaping at 200 watts is scary.

Chainsaw, Freddy, Zombies, I never got into that either. Yet a vampress Salma Hayek doing a hot table dance....oh yeah!

From Dusk till Dawn was excellent! The sequels, not so much...

Rodriquez did an excellent job on the first movie as well as Once upon a time in Mexico, Machete and Sin City with Frank Miller. Then there is Grind House he did with Tarantino, Eli Roth and Rob Zombie. All masters of the macabre!

Speaking of Rob Zombie, who just doesn't love Sid Haig's Captain Spaulding character?

My best friend dressed up as him for the Rob Zombie concert and it was damn near spot on. That was one hell of a concert.

I'm a huge horror fan but particularly fond of a good zombie flick (so few of those and so many reallllly bad ones lol)

I also read a lot (well, now I do audio books)... I read The Walking Dead before the series started (which gives the back story on The Governor, altho they changed it a bit for the series).

I don't have cable so I will be stuck waiting for someone to upload the new Walking Dead series.

Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorites and they play it on TV regularly. I watch it everytime it's on.

@KattMamma that sucks I will watch it for you and give you all the spoilers. jk
NO SPOILERS! LOL

I love Dawn of the Dead - especially the rooftop scene where they're picking out zombies that resemble celebrities. And the Richard Cheese version of Sickness (causing me to go find a Richard Cheese cd) was pure genius in this movie lmao.

Salma would be hot wearing a Hefty bag.

Andria

I was watching the movie Across the Universe which is an awesome movie about the 60's that centers around the Beatles music. This one scene had these hot nurses and I thought to myself that one of them looked a lot like Salma Hayek and sure enough, I seen her name in the credits. Its a real tiny part which I was surprised she did, but she did do it justice.

And yet sometimes I still find myself sitting here hollering at it to hurry up and load already!

Wow you're running fast enough to experience the differences in how fast the hosts are running. A crappy website, with under-powered servers for the amount of traffic they receive will limit your speed as much as a crappy internet connection on your end. Any network congestion at the main router points would also be noticeable. Can't win for losing...

Yep, I'm very often stymied by the speed -- or lack thereof! -- of the site I'm trying to visit. Where it really shines is with downloads, and with uploads when I was doing web design. I'm designed nothing but my own vaping site though, since Jan 2014 -- when I became ECF-obsessed. :D

I am on another forum also, perhaps a link was provided there or it could have been the blog you mentioned, I am really not sure,
For now I just avoid dry burning/glowing coils, but I do remember other metallurgists saying we should in fact dry burn and get them glowing, confusing...

As much as I love everything to do with vaping, I can not keep up with all the info, I simply don't have the time, I just wish more funding was present for proper tests.

You're not alone QU1T, I feel the same way. What makes it worse maybe for me is that I've been around since April 2012. That means I've read threads about the dangers of vaping cotton, silica, rayon, high watts, low watts, plastic tanks, plated metal parts, brass, Kanthal, nickel, titanium, flavorings, dry burning ... and more.

After a while I realized the biggest problem with all this was the lack of solid data about what is safe to inhale when vaping combined with most people's inexperience with the scientific method. I really like hard data, but even that is open to interpretation and personal bias unless it's really conclusive.

In the meantime I try to do my own research to the point that satisfies me and hope I don't go too far wrong. If I do make a mistake, well I did the best I could with what I had to work with and that's good enough for me.

Thats the best you can do. Find out how much you can for yourself, and weigh the pros and cons that you can live with..
This is paraphrased of-course.

There are just so many that want to create major drama over nothing. Cant use this juice if it has this in it, cant use this wire because it might do this, this wick might cause this....pfft. The popcorn lung incident happened in 2000 and not one single case or incident from any person who vaped but we MUST ban this stuff...yeah right. Same with the wire. I been hearing how kanthal is unsafe since I started vaping yet not one single reported incident on anyone having any effect from it. I can understand some of the concern about nickel wire. If someone is allergic to nickel then its wise to avoid vaping from a nickel coil just to be safe but all the rest of the concerns on nickel and titanium, pfft.
We do not vape at the temps where the wire will break down and release anything that can be considered harmful.
And face it yall, many of us have smoked a chit load of cigarettes for a chit load of years. Those things will kill you and each and everyone of us knew they would kill us eventually. Smoking been the leading cause of death for how many years? Why wasnt people who smoked up in arms about the dangers of smoking while smoking like they are about vaping? If your that worried about it, then quit. Its really that simple.

Im not on a tirade against you QU1T and your well within your rights to ask and have concerns. It just that so many people beat the same ol dead horse without a shred of proof that it is in fact harmful that it gets decent people who just wanted to quit smoking and now enjoy vaping all upset over nothing.

At this point I am pretty sceptical that smoking tobacco is anywhere near as bad as we are told.
I do not believe smoking tobacco is the leading cause of death, religion, politics, motor vehicles and old age. Poor diet and obesity to name a few.

I expect people who chose to vape over smoking are seeking a healthier lifestyle. It is logical they would have concerns and take an active interest in vape safety. Many people grow and change over their lifetime. Vapers are not quitters it's really that simple.

You hear a lot of people (smokers mostly) who talk about studies not proving the dangers....but the fact is, a far higher percentage of smokers die from things like cancer then non smokers. I'm not talking total numbers, just percentages. Claim that as circumstantial evidence if you will, but there is no doubt in my mind that smoking does lead to cancer, heart disease and death....firefighters used to have a high rate of cancer as well, till use of SCBA's became mandatory for all fire responses. Just smoke is horrible for you, add all the extra strange chemicals and how could you doubt they would cause health issues?
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
