So after work I go buy a KFL, most likely a clone but the price could make it go either way. Plan is to rob parts to get the authentic Russian working. However upon inspection I think the clone is better made and choose it for todays experiment.

First I need some pre-steeped tootle joose. Little math and some lab time and my ADV is a 12mg 50/50.

Now to build the KFL. Grab some 28ga wire and arrive at 1.6Ω.

Put it on a normal mod to check the settings without clicking a button 27 thousand times. Find everything fine.

Start tootling. Flavor is ok. Flavoring level would need to be bumped up a good bit, I use 1% and get fantastic flavor at 30w but here I would have to go 2%. Nic level is noticeable but with such small intake its manageable. The tiny tootle closdz are cute. Not very satisfying as a daily habit but ok as a transition to nothing which is my long term goal. I liked it for what it is.

Now the problem. The P-thingie won't work on it. P-thingie is working fine with the STM and the KFL works on every other mod I have but they won't work together.

Tootle puffing is alot of work I tell ya. I got an old nautilus soaking in alcohol. Time to pull the old girl out of retirement.

Thank god the BIg Sig with Mut X has been by my side through these trying times. The Big Sig is kinda the Apple of vape gear, It Hust Works!!! Push the button and vape.

I'ma post a fix for dis ting a while back for you... Bronze in the KFL lite thread had the same probo with his P-thingie.

You can do like what Bronze did in the KFL thread to extend the pin.

KFL repaired.

Started with dental floss and it actually worked fine. But I thought it was a little cheesy so I took Trolldragon's idea up and made a little washer from a lid from Hillshire Farms honey ham lunch meat container (which added about .012"...perfect). Drilled a 1/8" hole in it, slipped it over the center pin then cut/nipped around it with scissors and nail clippers. presto. Working fine.

P-thingies are known trouble makers?? This is something I wish I'd known before. KFL works great on a Kbox.

I wonder if a soda pop can is .12??

I wonder why that KFL would hit at 25w or so?? With no airflow I'm turning purple sucking on this thing.

I don't wonder for a minute why people smoked through the time when this stuff was cutting edge. Its fun to play with as long as I got a real vape close by but to try to quit smoking with this stuff?? No. Just no. This is quitting cold turkey with something to have in your hand. Nic patch and piece of dowel rod would be about the same.

I can build twin mudwomper coils in a minute and they last forever. While your rewicking by pulling wisps of cotton out of wire the size of a human hair with tweezers I yank him out with vise-grips and shove a pillow case of cotton and trim with pruning shears.

With all the ham lid cutting whose got time to build coils ?

I'm beginning to tread water with my tootle puffer I'm realizing that it's easier to slap a coil head in rather than build them. Now I understand the kabuki. Simplicity of a nautilus with the exotic looks of a cloud chasing tank.

I have made washers out of Margarine lids, Loyalty Cards, Expired Bank/CC Cards etc... Anything that will add 0.5mm to the 510 screw.

I put the FDV 510 connector back onto the iStick 20W tonight after using it for another project. The K. loud works perfectly on the iStick for a great little stealth vape.

I will never understand the Kabuki... Sorry but it's a $100 Nautilus and the people that have them love them, so I'll give them that.

It kind of reminds me of the Head-Fi game where you will find users who purchase a $100+ USB cable for their DAC. They will defend these cables to the death over a $5 USB cable. Or power cords and speaker wire, don't get me started on High End 3A glass fuses...

The best thing I ever did was to get away from anything that takes a coil head.

BS. I quit a 39 yr smoking habit while using a cigalike. Then I went to a vv3 and (stock!) T3S. I didn't get a kayfun till I had been smoke-free for about 2 1/2 months.

The only lung huff I ever took nearly killed me.

I have you know I build no such fancy coils. My "Flying Monkey Parallel Barbed Wire Twisted 10ga" does just fine.
Actually single 26ga @ .6ohms is my usual build.. Just sayin.

I quit smoking using an Ego 650 mAh and a CE4 in 4 days. It was about a month before I got a protank II and some CE5's. It was 9 months before I got my first kayfun.

I swear the folks over at Vapor Range are no longer vaping nic juice in their mods.. Last month they royally botched my Infinite Stingray X order by first sending me JUST a replacement bottom cap instead of the mod. Then a week later when I finally got the mod, it wasnt even the Infinite it was the Shenxi, which actually turned out to be pretty rad anyways.. So last week I ordered an extra hybrid cap since the second Stingray that was given to me didnt have it, along with a stainless Derringer so I could rock dual hybrid Derringers on both my stainless and black Stingrays.. FINALLY over a week later (VR is only two hours from my house and it took them 4 days before the label was printed and it wasnt taken to the PO until 3 days later) packaged arrived while I was at work. I ran home thinking YAY I can retire my Samurai Bonsai and its shifty 510 pin, and go build my new Derringer. Open it up, and am greeted with a Tobeco box with a nice big sticker on it that says BLACK. Do they just hate me or has VR messed up anyone elses orders like mine, multiple times??
