It's finally here...the Velocity Mini. Just got home and opened it, going to drop a build in there real quick and compare it to the original. Will post back with results soon fellow wompers.

It's official - the Velocity Mini gets 2 thumbs up! I quickly dropped a 24g 3mm 8 wrap dual coil @ .4Ω/45 watts in it to run it through the paces. Aside from the absurd cloud that I produced on the first hit, the flavor, Oh!! the flavor is fantastic! Same basic Velocity build deck everyone knows and loves, just slightly condensed - posts are a tiny bit shorter and fatter, the hex screws are a hair smaller and the holes as well. The 2 orings on the base were very cheap and wonky looking (orange stringy rubber things) so I pulled them off and put on some spares I had. The AFC is nice and tight, no rattle like my Velocity clone - you spin it to where you want it and it ain't moving. Although when adjusting the AFC open it seems to grab the wide bore drip tip and start spinning it out (not a huge issue but can be annoying). The cyclops air flow is 1mm shorter in width than the original - with both of them with the cyclops wide open and the indirect closed off the Mini has a tighter draw to it. The wide bore drip tip - Original Velocity's ID is 12mm all the way, Mini's ID is 14mm at the top but at the bottom is 9mm. There is a copper center pin on this one, so if you don't like copper inside your gear look for one with a different pin or find a replacement pin. And this paint job has a matte finish feeling to it, seems pretty well done for the couple hours I've had it (plus the splatter is just so damn cool). There's a few minor cons but it is a great little rda and if you have a Velocity and like it, for $15 this is a no brainer - snag one up ASAP.

Please excuse the filthy Ni200 coils on my regular Velocity, I didn't realize they were that bad, just wanted to get some comparison pics up for you guys.

how does that not short to the center post on the bottom leg?
Hard to see from the picture but he probably has a hair or two of space. I wrap mine the other way so the bottom wire comes from the outside to the negative screw.

Sup Womps!

I counted out my RDA's and tanks a few days ago, 18 in total!?, I know some of you must have even more! - go on, show off, let us know how many you own plz? :)
So, that's me done, I will not be purchasing any more, specially since I am now trying to minimise my vape to weekends only, after a year of being cig free!
Anyway, still luv geeking out with you all on new gear, coils and all that goodness!

@TrollDragon I luv the way them claps look, a good friend started building them now, stapled staggered claptons!, I had to ask her to repeat that a few times, jaw breaking stuff, specially from a Scottish lass!

2 that I use constantly (Achilles), 1 I use sometimes (Magma), and 3 I wouldn't waste spit on if they were fully ablaze (Veritas, Caterpillar, and Derringer). And also an Igo-S which is so tiny, it barely qualifies as an RDA at all. Haven't used it in over a year.

'Sup QU1T?

Weeeeeeeeeeel, here's my rundown:

10 Mini RDAs (fasttech - fun to play with and test juices, but not much use otherwise)
4 Velocity clones (Focalecig) with bottom feed pins available. Two hooked up with the BF pins; one wired with Nickel, and the other a dual kanthal build
2 Atomics - currently not seeing much use
1 Nemesis - had 2, but I jacked up the center pin trying to mod for BF until my velocities came
3 Nauti minis
3 Nautis (well, 2 now - base of one is fried)
3 Subtank Nanos
3 Subtank Minis
6 PT2s - build my own coils for these, and they're my daily tanks
2 Mini PT2s and about 8 EVODs (these just are in drawers, but backups in a critical emergency)

I have my eye on a velocity mini and a stumpy RDA after seeing some good reviews. I've never tried any other tanks or RDAs. Many look so interesting, but other than the Nautis, I can build for everything else.

Hey Q1UT!
It's been a while and good to hear your cutting back on things in your lungs other than air! I am not there yet as the hobby still has a hold of me. ;)

Inventory is 17 RTAs, 4 Gennys, 3 RDAs and I have 3 more RTAs and 2 RDAs on my wish list. Shinyitis takes hold hard and fast!

Some of the Claps are truly works of art for sure, well beyond my skill level, I tried a Staple Staggered Fused Clapton once and the ribbon wire just would not participate... I didn't have any Nichrome wire either and you really need that for the core.

Now they are all doing Hybrid Framed Staple Fused Staggered Claptons, look wicked but way too much work. She needs to wick them with the Scottish Roll Wick too... :D

I would never rag on you... ;)

But forgetting Kayfuns is... well... something that can happen once. :D

At least you listed them all, I just did a tally.

Typical, I still didn't get it right!, forgot the "fused" part! :)

PS.
The most exotic coil I use and can actually buid is a parallel single coil!, which is all I need really,
But I really appreciate the other "high-end" coils!, she also promised to send me a bunch of alien/claptons soon, but she moaned at me for not having anything powerful enough to fire them...that just sounds wrong :p

@DingerCPA @TrollDragon and @coolerat you guys make me feel sane.

Oh yeah, I own a Nauty also @DingerCPA and I built it twice, really easily, due to being totally annoyed with the pre-made duds I bought! grrr!

RIP Trippers and some other Youtubers methods both worked well, I still use my Nauty on my Hammer, love that setup!, makes me feel like a Don :)
