A complement.. from the Dog Star,,,

I am honored :nun:

Funny thing about that 30 gauge build is I was building for flavor. Cloud-Bro levels of vapor was a side effect.

A lot of these coil builds are cool as can be to look at but are way beyond my skill/patience level to even attempt. I really dont notice any difference between a normal build versus a twisted or clapton build.
What I've noticed is the more bling you add to a standard coil the more hot air you get with the vapor.

Its just like how everyone says Clapton coils are flavor coils. I got a roll of it and over the last few months I made a half dozen coils or more with it but in all honesty, I dont see any improvement from the flavor of it versus a normal 5 to 7 wrap coil. It might be just me for I believe I get better flavor from a tank than I do an RDA. As much as I love squonking with my velocity, I get better flavor from my crown or TFV4 or even a subtank mini than I do from the velocity.

I agree that claptons are no better than a well done standard coil and wick.

If you've got some 30 gauge around I highly recommended the build one page back. At 35W it's dense with flavor.

AFC 1/3 open, indirect closed.

I think I have some 30 ga in my vape kit in the car, will check later and if so will try that coil at work tonight on the velocity.

Tanks..They are coming a long way now. By a long way I mean my last one was a Billow when those came out.
Meh, I'll stick with squonkers.

For me, it is all situational. I work two weeks on a couple hundred miles from home, then im off two weeks. Been doing this kind of schedule for years and years. When I am at home I can drip or squonk till my hearts content, but at work I cant so having a tank system like a STM is a huge blessing for me. I can be doing my thing at work, step back and take a couple hits and then back at it. With my sqounking set up its not so easy. The vaperflask clone batteries dont last that long, and I squonk, hit it, lay it down and when I come back I have a mess to deal with before I can vape. So its situational. Plus I enjoy a good tank like the STMs or the Crowns or the TFV4. They deliver good flavor and clouds that satisfy me. But when I am at home, kicked back watching something on the TV with my pit bull mutt cuddled up beside me, Im usually either squonking or dripping!

I don't think it's soybeans I'm tasting, from rayon... it tastes like the nastiest volatile-chemical soup I can even imagine. I've still got a pretty good bit that was PIFed to me from that huge rayon thread, but I doubt I'll ever use it. Since discovering Shiseido cotton, I'm overwhelmingly thrilled with it -- no bad taste at all, ever, and it wicks like a dream. The 'break-in' taste is another reason I'm so fond of my Achilles; I get a very faint taste of "wet cotton" for maybe 2 hits, then it's gone and all I taste is the vape. I've tried the KGD too, and it also wicks pretty well, but doesn't break-in quite as fast. Plus, the size of the Shiseido pads is perfect for cutting strips off, for the Achilles; when it's inserted into the coil, I only cut off maybe a quarter-inch at each end, and it's the perfect length to reach down to the bottom of that deep well.

Glad you're enjoying it.

The same with any RDA, if it has juice in the well and you lay it on its side, it will leak out. The velocity has a decent juice well which is one of the things about it I like. In the environment I work in I cant always leave a mod sitting up or it will get knocked down easily so at times I dont have a choice but to lay it on its side. Thats where the leaking problems comes in.

Okay gotcha, I didn't notice where you had wrote "Lay it Down".. Dumb me lol
Yeah, that for me is one of the greatest things about Certain Tanks, because even at home I cant leave my mods standing up all the time.. Also can stand getting juice on some of my mods!! I may get a cup holder mod holder for work..

I don't tootle puff and don't vape any subtank or RDA under 50w

Stopped into the local B&M today on the way home. They got a shipment of Sense Cyclone's and Lavabox's in and were testing it on the Lavabox. (Nice DNA200!)

They filled the Cyclone with 5ml's of MaxVG, set the Lavabox to 150W and took 6 good pulls on the Cyclone.

The tank was empty after that and they had to fill it again... :w00t:

The Lavabox DNA200 looks cosmetically one of the best looking to me, only have seen pictures though! :)
