Thanks @TrollDragon (I was doing the Earth to Troll because of the "antenna" of the KFM in extended mode - it's quite hysterical.) I soooooo want to get this lil' cutie to work correctly :) especially in TC (and when I remember to calibrate my coils

I guess I'll have to get myself some Ti. Have any thoughts of SS? That seems to be the new TC wire rage....

I didn't know that the iPV D2 and many other TC mods could use SS in TC as well as VW mode. When I ordered my Ti from Unkamen they had a 200' spool of SS430 (for $5 now $10) which seems to be the best version for TC. Since SS can be built spaced or contact and dry burned without any issue like Ni and Ti, I would go that way. Your mod and mine does not have any way to configure a TCR profile for SS, you will just have to try temperature settings in Ti mode starting at 200F and do a cotton burn test, adjusting accordingly. Your Ti settings will go to 0.8 ohms and SS430 is around half the resistance of Kanthal so you can build an 8 wrap 28g coil on 3mm. The iPV D2 only goes to 0.3 ohms in TC mode so I would have to build duals or find a lower gauge SS430.

At first I did not care for the looks of the IPV D2 but now its really growing on me, specially after seeing certain Tanks on it..
Was looking at the Evic VT Mini for another (Mini) TC mod as I only have the SW.. But looks like VT Mini had problems??
Trying to find another Compact TC mod that will work with certain TC profiles is exhausting..
Heard anything about the Smok Klooper Mini lately?? Says the Klooper Plus(Dual 18650) has SS detection for temp..

Hard choice man... The Koopor, I looked at it in a local shop and didn't like when it went to sleep you had to 5 button press to wake it up, their sleep is off. Maybe a firmware update will fix that, from looking in the Koopor thread the updates are not user installed but have to go to a dealer to be done. That one got crossed off the list...

I had the VTC Mini and went almost a month through it's TC problems waiting for a new firmware. Well the day after I took mine back, a new firmware came out that didn't fix the TC problems. I fixed the TC problems on mine by exchanging it for another iPV D2. The VTC mini is an EXCELLENT VW mod and for the cheap price you can get them for on efun, they are a good deal. (The screen is gorgeous in it.)

The D2 works great in TC mode even though it has a low resistance range for TC and will fire at 3.6V minimum in VW mode. If you put a 0.2 ohm build on it, the wattage it will dump to the coil is 65W regardless of watt setting on the screen as it can't fire less than 3.6V, it has no buck functionality. If you want to fire the D2 @ 10W then you have to have a 1.3 ohm coil or higher in your Atty. The minimum you can fire a 0.5 ohm coil is 26W even if the screen says 15 or 20W. It is definitely NOT a Tootle Puffer mod, I picked it up as a TC mod which operates perfectly.

The Sigelei 75W TC seems to only have a Ni mode in TC and I read it eats through batteries, another one crossed off.

My local B&M is picking up the CloudMaker Whiteout, modular PV... Could be interesting and won't be cheap.

Its a hard choice to choose a new TC mod and we all can't afford DNA 200's. ;)

I would if I could get the damn thing to wick correctly. Can ya point a sistah to your wick tricks? I love the look of it, but.....

Do you use the japanese cotton pads? I use thin juice, but that kind of cotton seems to wick FAST.

Yeah, the Cloudmakers have been on my list for a while.. Really like the Hohm Wrecker also.. But those are $150-$200
Idk why P4Y didnt fix that issue with the Buck/Voltage as my IPV Mini 2 70W is the same..
Mainly want one to play on TC but I like being able to vape at lower watts if i want.. What was the TC issue with the VTC Mini?

Edit* Really want to mess with SS in TC, as my SS Crown Coils and SW problems kinda lead me to try out SS some more.. lol sounds crazy, but I like to figure stuff out!!

The Hohm Wrecker looks great!

The VTC mini works great when you put your atty on with a 0.15 ohm build and 380F/25W never hits temperature protection till the coil is dry or you just hold the fire button without taking a hit. The mini sees the build as 0.15 and you have it locked in. Then you let the mini go to sleep, when you wake it up the resistance is now 0.11 and when you hit the fire button it immediately goes into temperature protection mode within a 1/2 second. The power starts at 25W but quickly drops to 3W, climbs to 8W back to 3W never going back to 25W or near it. This issue causes a very anemic vape, where you might just go dig out your eVod as you would have a more satisfying vape.

Take the atty off hit the fire button to clean the resistance, put the atty back on and it will ask you if it is new coil. You say yes and its back to 0.15 ohms again providing a great vape till you let the mini go to sleep. Then you are back to the anemic vape again. There is a thread here trying to find a solution but none yet, we were told our cheap attys were the cause of this issue and we should also be using 32g Ni200 wire... Using 32g Ni200 is like trying to coil thread. Everyone's atty seems to work perfectly on other TC mods, the $29 VTC mini requires a $200 authentic FeV V3 instead of my clone to work... o_O

Others including my B&M said I just had to turn it up as that is the way it works. Yeah right, everyone else vapes other devices at 400F/30W... I have to turn this up to 600F/50W to get a good vape, shake your head. :-x

I finally proved to my local B&M that the TC was broken on this device and got an exchange.

The Squape.

Ah the Squape. In Rs livery.

Is it worth what it costs?? Money has relative value to each person. So this question can not be answered.

Then the clones. Lots of them. Research led me to the SXK brand from 3Fvapes. They sell all the clones but list them by maker.

I bought both clone decks and whole units. The decks look different but work the same. The unit looks and works the same.

In fact without testing gear they can not be told apart. For 1 million dollars cash I could not tell them apart without seeing the decks.

Yesterday I built a titanium build on clone unit and W deck. Perfect on the D2.

Currently the clone unit has a TP build on the Provari and is a pretty nice vape.

The legit has the clone dual deck on the SX Mini and is a fantastic vape.

Anyone thinking of going Squape and with money buy the legit. To save a buck get the SXK.

I want one as well...
What about this version with the 5 decks and bell cap?
www.3fvape.com/home/4352-squape-rs-style-rta-rebuildable-tank-atomizer-w-5-x-additional-deck-silver-316-stainless-steel-40ml-22mm-diameter.html

The SXK version is listed as Warning: Last items in stock!

I think the five base is the Ivago or however its spelled. Story is bases work with it but not other clones or the authentic.

SXK bases work with most but not the above.

Many SXK tanks. Gotta hunt abit. My clone came with a regular and black tank and AFC ring. In a minute I'm gonna swap the black tank on my black Provari with a black DT from a STM.

Something unexpected happened today...

I was working on perfecting the TrollDragon Coil, it came out really well

Then I decided to flatten it a bit because I was getting too much hot air off it.

It changed...

I will not tell anyone how to make this coil.

I am sending the last remaining scrap to @TrollDragon for safe keeping.
