The 1874's are sweet but not cheap to shoot. They will run you anywhere from $60-over $100 for a box of 20 .50-70 shells. The 45-70 is cheaper but still not cheap to shoot. The sweet thing about the 1859's and 1863's is they shoot paper cartridges which you can make for around 20 cents a round if you cast your own bullets.
You can also order either the older sharps or the 1874's online and in most states have it shipped right to your front door without an FFL.
Not "leak," per se; you might see a *tiny* bit of moisture, which is basically just the vapor condensing inside the air channel; pretty much any atty will have something similar -- even my completely leak-proof Achilles have this, but it's a trace, not a real leak.

I'd like to get a .45-70 lever action, that round has so much energy!!
The 45-70 is a good round. Even with it being federally allowed many dont want to ship it to you because it is in fact a cartridge round shooting gun. The law reads anything black powder or pre 1899 has no restrictions as far as having to register it so no need for an FFL. I would like to get the 59/63 Calvary sharps. Shoots a .54 projectile and is accurate up to 600 yards. Can either load paper cartridges or just push the bullet in and dump powder on it. Shoots well either way.
Well of course a new rifle(Non Black powder) will need to be transferred to an FFL.. Which im fine with.. Have had to do it many times, is a PITA most the time! Gonna try and get an FFL License in the future.. Have the paperwork..

I think the Kayfun was an initial in style, but others quickly took it farther. The first Lemo definitely upped the air intake. It also had a bottom well to collect any leaked juices through the air system. I still have a couple.

I dont mind Rip that much for he is very informative after the initial BS. Yet with that being said he is also biased for I believe he is getting kick backs for endorsing certain products. Youtube does pay well for many views.
He sounds almost exactly like Rip it's pretty funny. I enjoyed the end "If I lost this device today would I go out and buy another? No, I have 10 more sitting right here I'll use one of those"
I'll check it out next time I'm wandering around youtube. If making fun of him can get him to moderate his craziness, that would be a great thing.

I like Rip...but only in small doses - I don't think anyone does better coil/wicks tuts, not that I have seen anyway, he gets a lot of unjustified hate imo, I hope he is raking in the money and enjoying it!
