The Soft Cell Cutoff is set too high, in EScribe change the Soft Cell Cutoff to 3.09v instead of the default 3.66v this should give you double the battery life.

I'm gonna let him know. He's a computer dork so he will figger it out but he been busy.

Another problem is needing a Windoze box. We are an all Apple family. I believe he was going to buy a cheap laptop to program the dna until they come out with better software.

Provari's are battery whores. 18490's last an hour or so. 350's would be about 15 minutes.

You ever see Provaries for sale and like 14 batteries are included?? You ever wonder why?? Cause the chipset is CRAPOLA.

At 15w my DNA40 using 2500 mah lasts about 2-3 days. My Provari uses about 4800 mah per day.

To be fair my 18490's are AW and complete crap and my 18650's are Samsung. But to be more fair the AW's are very expensive and from the Provari dealer and the Sammies are from Fasttech.

I got some Efest 18500 a while back for my Zmax. Could not pass them up for a bit under $1 each. One just plain died but the rest are going fine. I can do about 4 ml of juice at 8 watts with each charge using them.
I actually ordered 4 Efest 18350's for 2.54 each a few days ago. Could not see paying close to $9 for an AW one when I can get an 185650 HG2 for $7.
The Efest 18350 are normally close to $10 each!

The Provari has the Cabuki on it now. Does a fantastic job to I must say. I seen the legit Kabuki I sold was being sold again. Its weird that even though its HoH that made that junker I still felt bad. I should PM that guy about the Cakuki. Its not a bad idea just needs better QA at the plant.

Until then I had a Squape Rs on it with a 1.5 or 1.8 build on it. Tank holds 3-4 ml I think. Took 2 AW 18490 batteries per tank. To be a real Provari user (I always had a better vape in my locker for breaks) you will need a cartridge belt for a 600 Nitro Express to hold a days batteries if you can't be near a charger.

I have that problem with the 18490 batteries for my Provari.

AW batteries are about useless and I'm not a Efest fan (not a hater either).

Let us know if you find a source for decent smaller sizer.

AW has 18A 18490s, 1200mAh. sweet-vapes.com has them.

Those are actually what I have now.

I see Provape is selling Efest now but locally the dealers are still selling AW.

The very day the Cabuki arrived and breathed new life into the Provari was the day I had finally lost my patiance with it and was gonna list it. The trouble is Provape is about giving 2.5's away and has basically killed the used market. Its really odd when you reading a Provari thread and people say you don't lose money cause you can sell them and China mods you throw away. With how much a Provari costs and what they sell for you can literally throw a China mod in the garbage and lose less money.

I don't have any of the purple ones; just the "older" black and red Efests (5A, I think). Those are fine for my Zmax and Vamo. But given how inexpensive the 25R's are at ilumn, I think I'll stick with those with the hi-watt boxes -- I may not actually need that amperage for my lo-watt vaping, but always better safe than sorry -- I've also experienced the "gosh I didn't know it was set that high!" kind of hits -- hate 'em! -- but it's nice to know that one's battery can handle whatever one's mod throws at it! :D

The new 25r's is all I will buy at the moment, but did have one get destroyed this week after using it only twice. Had it in my black IPV4 and put fresh batteries in it that night and the next morning it was dead. Had my cyclone on it so didnt use it much at all. Put some fresh batteries in it, went to charge the dead ones and they acted weird on the charger. Grabbed my black IPV4 and it was warm to the touch. Not hot but warm. Half an hour later checked it and it was still warm and battery indicator showed it was half life left. Not good.
Got to checking and it seems the old problem of the recharger port got me. I removed it, put fresh batteries in it and its fine now but it sucked that set of batteries so far dead that one wont charge now. Not even two weeks old and ready for the trash can already :(

Was it you that posted the pic above of the IPV4??

I seen that and I turned white with fear!!!!

I had that same problem with my IPV4. I fixed it but I'll never trust it and it sits.

If you have a charger that will charge at about .25 amp try that for a while on the "dead" batteries. If you can get them up to 2.5 or so then then you should be able to charge them on up at about .5 amp till over 3 and then go to 1 amp. Keep an eye on them during the charge though.

Yeah I was thinking that for these mods that have a charging port, but use external batteries, I'd just use my charger the regular way for those batteries. Seems to me that a lot of problems with charging are with the interface, which generates problems with the battery itself.

I had to retire my original nitecore i4 because it starting getting very hot while charging; the batteries in it at the time were regular efest 18350s, so no great loss if they were FUBAR, but I took them out and just let them sit, resting, for a full day, then tried charging them in my luc2, and they charged completely normally, no problems, so maybe I got them out of the other charger before they were actually damaged. But I do watch them very carefully if i have occasion to use them!

My Xtar VP4 will do recovery from deep discharge but its kinda like reanimation... What you bring back is not worth having.

The black one in the pic is the one that gave me problems. I have 2 of the IPV4's and I love them. Comfortable in the hand and will vape at 80 watts with very little problems. The charging port is a well known problem and I will probably remove it from the grey one as well, but all in all they are decent mods.

I still have the battery so will try it on another charger but am not sure I would still trust the battery for the intended loads I bought it for. It is rated 20 amps and I use them pulling 17.5-20 amps from them.

Yes I would not trust them at full output or near that even if you can revive it.
But It may be fine for use in low watt applications. If you only do high watts I would trash the battery.
If it works and you use for low watts, clearly make it as low watts use only.
Best to be safe.

At war with the K4 again. Had prolly 8 builds in it this weekend.

She's been acting like a normal Kayfun, burnt and dry hits left and right. Wisp of cotton, packed with rayon, wisp of rayon, packed with cotton and everything under the sun.

Nothing.

Then the memory starts kicking in.....................

I used to use a Silverplay deck with a K4 tank. K4 chimney and no congestion ring. So what if the K4 deck was used without the stupid congestion ring??

So far so good. Its still an extremely restricted air tank but not quiet as bad. It hasn't burnt or dryhit yet which is a marvel itself for a Kayfun.

Also no leaks yet. And with a .5Ω build I'm pushing a K4 to the limit.

In general Kayfuns are tootle queens and normal vapers would be well advised to just stay away.

But........................

I love the looks so much I put alot of effort in to getting one working.

Keep in mind while I'm playing I have several normal tanks at hand so I'm not suffering during the struggle.
