Really impressed with the Super tank, for some weird reason I blame my experience on the Super tank mini, I wont be using that tank again. I enjoy the airflow on this one way more, def wont be swapping the AFC base, it's just a lot smoother to me.
The flavor on the 0.5ohm coil is also a lot better, now whether that's due to the tank or a dodgy coil the first time around I dunno. For some reason I have confidence in this tank that it's not going to dry hit or leak, although the mini never leaked either, it did give me the odd dry hit.
I also like the top fill better and it seems to seal better, easier to take apart too.
I look forward to trying the Trition clapton coils in it but either way, this is a solid tank and I can see why @chopdoc likes them, I should of bought this first, the mini to me is pretty meh..

But how does one defeat the microphone? And further, how does one even find out if a TV HAS one? Can you say? Or is that "classified?" ;) (And I was only half-joking there, nothing would surprise me anymore...) I won't be skyping anytime soon, because I'd have to get a monitor with a web cam and my old one is still working. Can't afford to get one just for making my mom happy. We still have a telephone, and that will have to do for her.

Try telling it to change channels? Or a careful reading of the manual ;)

There might be a small "grille" somewhere on the front??

You can get an external webcam, USB. Some have mics built in, some don't, so if you ever choose to go that way, beware. If you get one that doesn't have a mic you'll need to get a mic too, more parts, more hassle. And, in addition to not needing a new monitor with it built in, easy to disable - just pull the USB.

@Lannie I made another batch of the Strawberry and Vanilla cream but instead of the Strawberry I used 10% Sweet Lychee (Cap)....I love it :)

I've never had a lychee, so I have no clue what it tastes like. I've had kiwis a couple of times, but all the fruits I "know" are normal grocery store stuff like apples, bananas, grapes, melons, pears, pineapples, plums, and ... anything else? Oh, pomegranates. I like those, but they're too dang hard to get the pulp off the seeds. It's an all day project eating one of those! LOL! (I know a lot of what most people consider vegetables are technically fruits, so I'm not including things like tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, etc. in my list. Just the "sweet fruits" that are sold as "fruit," ya know?)

So, is lychee similar to anything? Or is it a fruit taste unto itself? :)

I think maybe Rich should check out a few TVs on the next shopping trip, then we can look the brand and model up online and see what it says. But if it's for "spying," it probably wouldn't just come right out and SAY there was a microphone in there somewhere, would it? I wish my nerdy little brother didn't live all the way over in Portland. He lives and breathes electronics, and he'd be able to find out, and "fix" anything that needed fixing. ;) He's not suspicious like his big sister, though, so I'd have to tell him what to look for and then explain why... maybe it's better he's not here. LOL!

Even if you got the TV or webcam with the most snooping software in the world you would still be a nameless datapoint in some analytical software. About as interesting as a single ant scurrying through the grass.

Going to forums and using search engines puts way more information out there than any snoopware could collect.

In other words don't worry about it. Get a webcam and skype away.

Lychee can get a bit sirupy sweet after a while.

I like sweet, for the most part, so maybe it would be worth trying at some point. Maybe for a "dessert" kind of thing in the evening in front of a movie or something. :)

I know I'm being snooped on here, but I hitch a sigh and say it's a price I have to pay for belonging to such a great forum and group of people. I'd just like to be snooped on the least amount possible. Like trying to eat healthy... you can't eat 100% safe and healthy all the time (at least I can't, because chocolate is a food group!), but I do my best to keep bad stuff to a minimum. Same thing. :)

One of the many reasons we don't have a smart phone. :)
Anything with cake batter in it is good! That seems to have become my favorite supporting player in most of my juices. LOL! If it's already good, cake batter will just make it BETTER!!!!! :D
Many new things today have the built in microphones. But one good step would be to change the name of your wifi connection and password. You NEVER want to use the one "given" by the vendor. Reason being, there's a hack website where you can go in and get a list of these names and passwords given out by companies. Then, all one has to do is drive around the block, tap into one and bingo! You're in! Just like that. Now, I've got access to everything on your computer and if you're in a nice neighborhood, you've probably got a security system I can hack into as well. And even watch you in your own house, outside the house, etc.
As for @MikeyConti 's smart phone data mining statement, companies - like Sony - are getting caught for listening in and being sued. They've gone too far. I've taken data mining trainings and it can be a GOOD thing when used properly. I enjoy going to Amazon and seeing a list of items recommended for me. This sort of data mining is on the up and up. When creating reports for customers you can enter average income, age, things searched for, etc and spit out a little of items they may be interested in. Heck, Google does it too. :)

I agree with Boden. Unless you're high security or something, most hackers don't mess with "normal" people, except for the ones that just want to cause problems. Those are the virus creators, etc.

Well, we're probably pretty safe, then. LOL! Our "neighborhood" is just us. There's a little one-room schoolhouse half a mile down the road, but if someone were to "drive around the block" it would take them a couple hours! Our "block" is 30 miles by 40 miles. And I can guarantee, there is NOTHING worth stealing here. Like I said, we don't even have "smart" phones! LOL!

We also don't have wifi. So maybe we're OK, you think?

Oh yes. You're fine! Most people have wifi and have everything in the world connected to it, TV, computer, phone tapped in, etc. And it IS against the law for companies to spy on people and they all eventually get caught. All companies want is to find out what products you would by to make money off you. :)
