actually I don't know if it's hard.......just had to mess with ya. Is your flavoring an english toffee flavoring, or are you mixing several? Just might need some steep time. hehehe glad you liked the Cobbler. Daniel blew his chance, he didn't get any of the Gumbo!! soooooooooo good!!
I keep meaning to write that recipe down for @Lannie. I told her MONTHS ago I'd give it to her but I've yet to write it down. BAD Atchafy, BAD.

Ok, I see Fuzzy down there. OMG I mean @Fuzzy Thunderbear . I need to log off, I've got NO brain left.
Hey Fuzzy, the other day when you were talking about WWII kids, I wanted to tell you that my parents had me late in life. So, even though I'm 53, my uncles were in WWII and my dad in the Korean war. I can't remember if I posted a pic on this site or the TP site so I'll dig one up.......

See, when yer in a battle with a woman, even when you think you have won, something, probably later that night, will convince you that you shall never win...

Ok, this pic is (from the left) my Uncle Col Dave Martin (he was at Normandy - had 1/2 his leg blown off), my mother, and my Uncle Sam. Don't know when the pic was taken, sometime in the early 40's in Houma, LA. My mom was 15 I think in this pic. She's in a dress they bought for her (she wasn't in the military)

Not THAT late! Mom was 36 and dad was 33. She was older. Get this, my grandmother was 23 years older than her second husband ---who we call Uncle Buddy. He's still alive at 80 -- yep, he was younger than my dad. lol. Cougars they were. :w00t:

My be bassackwards from dat... Uncles were all in Korea. My father "claimed" he was a tank driver in Europe during WWII, and while he can prove he was at least in England for a while, I suspect that he was much more likely to have worked in the mess hall. Just in case you are wondering why I don't stick up for his pride, my mother left the weenie when I was only two. He got married again and I have never seen a more henpecked man than he...

I'm trying to find his obit. He died only a couple of years ago. Lived in St. Nazaire, France. Married my Aunt "Bea".
