Alright ya modwompers, what ya vapin on tonight?

At the moment I am using an IPV2 cranked to 30 watts with a Lemo II that has a .5 coil and filled with Vanilla Pipe tobacco flavor! Mmmmm Mmmm good!
Im not trying to cloud chase but got this Lemo II the other day and finally got around to trying it out and wow. Unlike the subtank, it likes higher than 20 watts. Too bad the IPV2 maxes at 30 watts.

The same as always... strawberry & cream, 9.5mg, 3% WTA... Achilles, 1.7Ω coil, at wheeee a blistering 8w (on a coolfire4) -- this Achilles packs a hell of a throat hit punch if I run it at the 10w I use with Kayfuns. It sure does conserve battery life and juice! :thumb:

Womping a cool 0.76ohm single, borderline flooded with Dr. Fog's Custard. ~20W of creamy goodness and expecting close to two days of runtime.

Running any RDA with 9.5 mg will give a heck of a throat hit, even at 8 watts.

The Achilles is really stellar in the TH department, especially if you mount the coil high. I did at first, but now I mount it just a little lower, not entirely "level" but not raised very much. I've been vaping at 10mg since last July, but with this Achilles I had to drop to 9mg; when I lowered my WTA again I went back to 9.5mg. I also don't add as much of the Flash additive to my mix, with this Achilles it's far less necessary.

You know that feeling when we first discover e-cigs, "where's this been all my life?!?" That's exactly how I feel about my Achilles! I tried to use my kayfuns again, but I can't seem to get them past the 'spluttering' stage, which seems really annoying because I'm not used to it anymore -- even with a brand-new wick, the Achilles *never* splutters. The only "break-in period" for a new wick is that faint taste of cotton for 3-4 hits... then it's perfect.

Andria, I'm not sure but I think you're into DIY juice. I really like a good strawberry vape once in a while or to add some to another juice. The best strawberry flavoring I've found so far is from Flavor West. It's almost tart and for me it's a very realistic strawberry. Doesn't take much either. I don't use it much so I haven't researched its safety, but thought I would mention it :)

Yeah, I don't like tart *anything* -- I was browsing different strawberry flavors at BCV and the Inawera Shisha Strawberry description says "taste of sweet strawberries dipped in sugar" -- and that's exactly how it tastes! Perfect for my strawberries & cream. :thumb:

They moved the front porch to the lounge so we should have an occasional mod womper discussion to keep us from being also moved to the lounge lol

I hear ya chopdoc, but I don't think the modwomper thread is quite there yet. Then again, I'm drinking wine tonight so what do I know ;)

Then you're all set Andria :). I went through a few of those sweet strawberry flavorings until I found one that was not so sickeningly (to me) sweet. OTOH, I really like Loranne's pralenes and cream. Go figure

Just my luck guys, brand new Lemo II and had a bit of an oil taste so after the first tank went dry I took it apart (again) and cleaned it (again). Putting it back together the glass cracks on me. :(

Oh crap, I hate when that happens. I think you can get replacement glass, I think I have some for my Lemo I, but not sure for the Lemo II. Rev up your Google-Foo and see what happens :)

I ordered 2 off of ebay. Just blows that it happens after the first tank and it was vaping great!

You've got great advice here already KattMamma :). The only time I've ever got metallic taste was when I had a very minor short which caused a small hot spot using SS wicks in a Genisis atty. I find a more serious short or hot spot causes burnt hits which overpower any metallic flavor.

I hope when you clean the atty again you dry burn to check for hot spots or hot legs on the coils. If it's not oil or a hot spot, I have no idea what it could be since there is no burnt flavor.

One other thought. Every atty adds its own twist to the flavor of a juice and with some the difference can be quite a bit.

Good luck with it :thumb:

Thank you! The coil looks good - no hot spots. But how do I check for hot legs?

OMG now I have a Rod Stewart song stuck in my head... lol

I can't believe I never stumbled across this thread before, middle of the road vapers who have found their own sweet spots. No need for your own indoor weather system, but not satisfied with a carto at 3.7 volts.

I've dabbled with sub-ohms, and bought some miniature mods, fun but neither will ever be my daily go to APV.

Ok my dear wompers, I need some guidance with my Evic-VT... over in the titanium thread they just keep telling me to use an online converter to convert C temps to F temps... but I sure as hell don't want to do that, and C temps are basically greek to me. How do I change the Evic from C to F?

Andria

Increase the temperature setting to the maximum C value, the next click up will switch it to F.

When you dry fire the coil if you have hot legs they will glow sometimes brighter than the coil itself. If only the coil glows inside to out you're good to go.
