Has anyone found a flavour that they have to buy to enjoy vaping? Like when we used analogs in the past most of us stuck to one brand, is there an eliquid you've found that you just can't do without?

No, I haven't bought juice since I switched to DIY a couple of years ago. I received a bottle of cognac flavored juice as a freebee with an order I got about a month ago that I really liked. Never tried vaping a drink flavor before. I liked it so much I checked the price ... $30 for 30 ml plus shipping

I bought 30 ml of Kentucky bourbon flavoring for $8 from my local vape shop

When I smoked, I had a preferred brand, but if money was tight I would smoke what I could afford.

Same here Lessifer. The last around five years I smoked I bought my smokes from a reserve not far from me. I think the regular price was around $65 a carton and the reserve price was $20 for the ones I liked. Worked for me :)

Heh... for about a year before switching to RYO, I bought my Marlboros from the Ukraine lol. They were a little different but not bad. I don't remember now what I paid, but it was a lot cheaper than buying cartons here. And my friends got a kick out of the Cyrillic writing on the packs.

Well yall, I must be some kind of dummy. I been waiting since last Monday for the replacement glass to show up for my STM that broke when I dropped it. Today I looked in one of the three STM boxes I have and guess what, they each came with a spare glass. <sigh>

That's why I truly despair of intelligence in some people... Everybody in the US who smokes or smoked, has/had some technique for saving money on the dratted coffin nails -- for myself, I bought 120's, so I could "smoke 'em twice" -- like 2 cigarettes in one paper tube.

And some total idiots decide that charging $1 per ml is a good idea?

What reality do they live in? Because it's sure not the same reality as the rest of us. Or maybe I should question the sanity of anyone who would actually PAY that. Because even .50/ml is more than twice what it's really worth, maybe more like 4 times its actual worth -- even with 3% WTA in mine, it's roughly .12/ml -- without the WTA, it drops to .08/ml.

In a B&M, I get it. You have to pay the store's rent, taxes, employee salaries, etc. I consider that I am paying for the convenience of getting it RIGHT NOW.

But online shops? What a ripoff.
I get it, people need to make money. I think some of it might be, if it's also sold in retail shops, they can't really undercut the price online, probably a retail contract thing. It just places things out of my price range. I really should get into DIY but I don't have the space/secure area away from my 4yo, or the startup costs right now.

When I was smoking, I didn't do much to cut costs. I got on coupon mailing lists, and sometimes I would buy different brand if they had the $1 off coupons on the packs. By the end, I was only smoking 1/2 PAD, but man did I smoke those. Smoking for me was a ritual, I went outside and did nothing else but have a drink. There was no looking down from a conversation to notice half my cig had burned away, I inhaled that thing from start to finish. Some of the people who smoke 2 or 3 PAD, I have to wonder how much they're actually inhaling, I mean at least some of them have to be just letting the cigs burn.

I think I'm going to get an eVic-VT. For my vaperversary on Friday I want something different that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Just a hand. I see it comes in a kit with an eGo One Mega tank, which I am not at all familiar with. I have spare Kanger Subtank Minis and Troll drippers. I'm wondering if I should get a 5 pack of titanium coils for the tank? Any comments about the vapability of that tank, or should I just get a spool of Ti wire and build something on a Troll or STM? Or maybe some other cheap dripper I could add to my Vaperversary?

I just got the express kit for my Evic; $49.99 -- it also includes a micro-USB cable and a silicone sleeve for the mod, which surprised me, being accustomed to "bare bones" express kits.

So far I've been using my Achilles with my Evic, though very soon I'm going to give the Veritas another try. Now that I don't need to worry about excess heat or airflow, it's time I got some use out of that very pretty RDA.

Is this the day you started vaping or the day you stopped smoking?

I've never celebrated one of these, I think I owe myself like six presents.. WooHoo!!!!!

Out of curiosity guys, how many of yall use multiple items during the day. For today I ran two STM's, one with cherry cigar, one with butterscotch. A Lemo II with berserker chocolate, then I been dripping during the day with the Troll with vanilla cupcake, the mutation X with cherry cola and the mutation X clone with vanilla custard.
I never could go a day with just one flavor.
I have 4 mods, well down to 3 since my iStick 50 died the other day... I run at least two mods, one an STM with my ADV, and then a dripper that I switch up with whatever strikes my fancy. I do DIY and have a bag full of 15ml bottles of stuff I've made that I enjoy every now and then. Mostly various fruits and creams but also some chocolates.

That's why I called my recent observance my "no-smoke-a-versary" -- my vaperversary was back in February. :D

I like a single vertical micro coil in my veritas, though I don't think TC plays well with micro coils. Single spaced coil should work fine too. I like to get one wick end down in the well and the other end(top) tucked into a side groove.

*My* Vaperversary is the last day I had a cig. I already had my started to vape Vaperversary but I did not celebrate that. That was about the first week of June last year, I think. Going into a vape shop and coming out with an eGo/Ce5 was no BFD. My last cig... that was a BFD :)
If you look at my sig you might see why I make that a BFD. Part of my resolve... never again...
Those two dates are only 7 weeks apart or so, although I'd have to dig through my CC statements to find the exact day I went into that Vape shop.

I had it 6 weeks. It fell from a table onto my concrete patio deck. It was charging and I think I snagged the cord or something. It worked for a day or two, but didn't quite feel right and then stopped firing. if I put it on a charger it will come back to life, but then within 10 minutes of steady vaping it dies again.

From all my research I'm fairly convinced the fire button is just not robust enough for the job. Most of the issues seem to be related to the fire button- either auto-firing or just failing to fire. Although the problem seems unique to the iStick 50, I'm staying away from eLeaf for awhile. I only paid $36 for it (on a general 20% off sale at MFS). But I want my stuff to last. More than 6 weeks.

I'm looking into a warranty replacement but due to circumstances my package box is in storage and I can't get to it until after the 90 day warranty expires, so I doubt I will get it replaced, but I haven't hear back from MFS yet.

ETA: I am also a very sloppy dripper, and have some leaking issues with the STM I've used on it too. The drop could be a red herring and maybe I got juice in the switch. But a mod that cannot handle juice near the switch is not going to last long in my hands. Some mods are known for not liking juice, others don't seem to care, based on complaints I see here ????

Actually my math was wrong. Screwed up on the price of nicotine. 240 ml cost me $6.68 to make. For me to do DIY it breaks down to roughly .03 cents per ml. A store has it even cheaper for they buy their supplies in bulk. Yet still the local B&M has 10 ml of juice for $5. That cost $.30 to make at our prices, add another $.25 for the plastic bottle and label and thats one hell of a mark up.

When I got the evic-VT kit, I used the eGo One Mega tank for all of half an hour. The wick holes are so darn small it would run dry on me constantly. The tank is now basically sitting in my tank graveyard. I ordered some of the CLR heads hoping that might help since you can adjust the size of the wick holes.
