I'm interested in getting a Squanking device for work because i hafta leave my ecig in my truck a lot when im working and the heat makes all my tanks leak.. I'm looking for something like a Reo and a simple cartomizer or something. But the Reo is too pricey atm.. Thinking something around $50 ?

Focalecig has the Terminator which is the squonk box I am using for $24.51 and comes with the smokeless owl BF RDA.
$23.95-$24.51 Smokeless Owl Style Bottom Feeder Mod- Black

Now I am not too sure what I think of Ti and temp control yet. Firing it in the snow wolf with it set at 400 F and 50 watts it doesnt exactly give a dry hit when it goes dry but a scornfulness in the back of the throat is very noticeable.

I find TC 'handles' a bit different than non-TC. I really like drippers, be they top or bottom fed. After a couple of years of using RDAs without TC I was really in tune with that process. It took me a while to relearn it with TC. If what I think you mean by 'scornfulness' is what I think of as a slightly dry (not burnt) hit, I never really got that with TC with either wire material or combination of wires. Once I reprogrammed the old noggin to handle the new signals and got to like the TC experience, I found it a bit harder using non-TC mods with the same attys . Eventually I decided TC wasn't worth it for me with RDAs. It works just fine but there just isn't enough gained to offset the disadvantages of working with Ti or Ni.

I tried TC with a couple of RTAs and I liked that, but the situation was completely different for me. I occasionally get a burnt hit with RTAs and TC eliminated that with no drawbacks. Bottom line, I'm just not that good with RTA setup. Maybe I would get better if I vaped them all the time, but I don't so it is what it is :)

You know what you're doing and you'll figure it out. For me I firmly believe the devil is in the details and sticking to basics is key specially at first with something new.

I have the same mod from the same site so I'll throw in my :2c: if you don't mind. The mod is a great cheap squonker, the biggest problem it has is the occasional misfire due to the way the switch works, but pressing it somewhat from the top/side seems to work well. Never has the lock button spin on its own but I don't lock it much. The atomizer is functional but not great, is suggest ordering a different to go with it like the velocity with bf pin, focal has that for $10 too.

As for the site, never had an issue, but it can take awhile for delivery, pay attention to when it says something will be ready to ship.

They also have the CREO for cheap, but keep in mind that it's the "grand" version, so it will not take a 22mm atomizer without cutting down the top.

I have been using mine pretty much exclusively since I got it. I started with the owl atomizer, then got a chalice III clone(which I don't recommend unless you really don't like airflow), and currently I'm using a derringer that I modified for bf. I just ordered the velocity with bf pin though ;)

Not much, I'm working on that currently.
You do know there are conversion kits to make the KFL's into drippers. They use side air holes in the cap.
Mod Factory has a K-Dripping and K-Dripping Pro (Dual Coil Mount)

SoV also makes one.

If you are going to make either one of these on your lathe and the price is reasonable, I'd like to get one from you. :)

Thats the same squonker box I am using and I like it. The smokeless Owl atty was OK but I went ahead and picked up a Velocity with a BF pin and now am loving it. Only thing I wished is it had a readout but I picked up a DNA35 box pretty cheap off Ebay and am gonna mod my own.

Yeah, I would love to have a regulated one like the Flask DNA, but man its expensive.. and like i said this would be used as a beater.. so im thinking mechanical for durability..
I saw some bad reviews of the vf squonker, though I can't remember any of the actual complaints at the moment.

RipTripper has a review for it...I didn't want to dishonor the womper woom with his craziness. I am sure China is hard at work making a clone for me :D
I just watched RT's review of that Haus of Zombi/Hyon Pi2 RDA ( π2 )... No much good to say about it and I wonder if Hyon will send him a C&D for an unfavorable review of their overpriced PoS.
