I get my VG at Bulk Apothecary because it is only $13.40/gallon (10 pounds) there, but they only ship via FedEx or UPS and that part ain't cheap. (Oh, and that's the REGULAR price - not a fake sale price)
so about the same price then. I now have about 3 gallons of stuff for 50/50 mix. Should be good for a few years.
have enough nic for something like 12 years...

Yeah, after -20, 5 above sure does feel like Spring! It's been so cool to watch my clouds out in the barn lately. The cold makes the vapor sink to the ground almost immediately, and then it just spreads out and wisps away out the door. Plus, the clouds are HUGE because of the cold temps - I think part of it is just my vaporized breath. Even when I'm NOT vaping outside, I look like I am! LOL! I have to be careful, though, because my juice thickens up and won't wick worth a darn. Eh, two more months and Spring will be well started. :)

the wind chill factor ("feels like") was -62 *F (exposed flesh will freeze in about 5 minutes). Welcome to South Dakota winters.

Know what we call 5 degrees in NY??

SPRING!!!!

I'll stick with my 110 degree summers and mild winters.

Worked outside all day today. Wore a t-shirt and eventually added a thin thermal. Had to put on my hat once...

We call dropping into the 80's "autumn"...

@NoFumus is in Minnesota. Talk about cold..... Here I am, whining about 40 degrees. lol

I-i-i- wwwent outside. Only -4, but brisk wind, windchill -30. My hand froze to the front door handle for a minute, like a tongue on a jungle gym. Yep, cold.

That's CRAZY!!! You will have to post some pics on here some day. I remember visiting a friend in Minnesota in July and it was in the 60's. People in shorts and t-shirts. Unbelievable.

I suppose i could find children waiting for school buses with nose hair icicles, but other than that, cold doesn't photograph well.

As for shorts & t-shirt, it's the first time it hits 50 in the spring that we haul out the tank tops and shorts. I remember one year's cold spell -- two weeks of -20, -40 w/windchill. Suddenly, the weather changed and it was practically sweater weather. I drove by a bank with a time/temperature sign and it was +14.

Just glad you are not froze to the ground. Keep moving.

My sister uses the Blue Ribbon gumbo can now. Makes me cringe. Here's my gumbo from earlier today. I make it the way it was handed down through generations. Sweating making that dark roux. But there's nothing like the taste of a real roux gumbo.

I've never made that... but everytime our son comes to visit, he pitches a hissy fit for me to make jambalaya. Which is expensive, with all that meat in it!

Chicken Helper came out with a new flavor recently, Cajun Chicken. It's not bad, but a) I add some really spicy smoked sausage, and b) I never eat white rice, only brown rice. If I also got some pork loin, that would be a pretty decent start to jambalaya. I don't mind a bit "cheating" to make tasty stuff. :D

Where is the eggs? I love a gumbo where they crack raw eggs in it just before its done and let them cook in the gumbo juice. And your right, its not a gumbo unless its made with a roux. I have nothing against Savoie's roux but have made many batches from scratch.
