They actually sell it at Walmart now. Let me know what you want me to bring back for you. :) I love all the spices. And Andouille sausage. Much better than here. :)
oh wow they do!!! My g/f down there told me that the Boscoli one was the one to get.....do y'all concur?? Loved it even if it isn't the most authentic. Made the best tater salad I"d ever made or had with it. My son isn't fond of green olives, so.......more for me! yay! lol

Awwwww that's sweet of ya to offer but I don't need nuttin hun. Unless yur drivin, and could stop by MS and bring my friend Lynn and her hubby Jay!! hehehe

Have only had andouille once and it was from here, but wasn't all that fond of it. I'm sure it's nowhere near as good as what you get there though.

We have a franchise here called Jason's Deli that sells them. I've had them a few times but I'm sure they are nothing like the real thing!! Kinda like the Pizza here. It's only the same by name!!

You are correct! It's cast iron......but has a permanent indent in the shape of semiretired's head!! :lol: (he's gotta really hard head, which is part of why he gets whacked so much) :laugh:

We have Jason's here too, been there once, that was what I got, and yeah, it didn't even come close unfortunately.

oh I can imagine! great dough, great cheese, not much sauce, cooked in an 800 degree brick oven....I bet it's amazing!

Oops, saw Deb posted that already. Anyway, she's right, not as good as originals. The best one I've had here is from Ferrari-Pizza Pasta Subs. He's from New York too - but he an odd one. Still, best pizza's subs etc.

Dunno, have seen a lot of NY pizzas done like that on food network, but dunno for sure if Brooklyn does theirs that way. I do know ya gotta fold it to eat it! lol

I wonder if that's the place my son went to and raved about. Been a long time since I've been down that far......had to look that up since you said it was around us.

love me some good gumbo!! Not sure I could stand and stir the roux long enough now though

You can cheat and get a bottle of Zatarans roux. Its good but not the same as cooking up the andouille and chicken in a cast iron dutch oven and then making the roux with the drippings. Would make a shrimp gumbo but the 100 lbs I had frozen last fall didnt last the winter and the boats are not running yet.

yeah, dunno if we can get the bottled roux here or not. Maybe, been a long time since I've been to the store much. Have heard it's not bad, but yeah I'm sure nowhere near as good as doin it yourself.
