At the risk of offending anyone or coming across as 'holier-than-thou' I would ask that you please kindly refrain from making jokes that belittle the mentally challenged.

Sorry if I offended you kad. None was intended. Just so you know where I'm coming from, my brother who is a year younger than me at 57 has Downs Syndrome. I apologize again.

I tend to be overly sensitive about it sometimes.

Believe me I know what you mean. I HATE the way the word "......ed" is thrown around. But I've learned to deal with it in my own way.
And I do know that nothing was meant by it. Sometimes, I wouldn't even notice and it wouldn't bother me. For whatever reason today it did.

My point of reference on this, by the way, comes from having a daughter who suffered a brain injury in a fire when she was 9.

Thank you. The frame of reference here is a hodgepodge of differing mental, psychological adversities faced daily.
Part of it is from external environment factors, i.e. grew up knowing abuse. Another part is from a congenital defect.

My wife just loves to spring a random visit to Wally World on me. She gets tickled watching my eyes glass over and my body becoming rigidly in place. Yes, my wife is a sadist who enjoys watching me have panic attacks. Oh, how I love her so much. :)

In school I went to what was at the time considered experimental, behavior modification classes. The crux of these guided me into writing, reading, high level use of imagination for escapism versus bottling up rage and having explosions. The instructors, psychologists and all involved learned that I go cold when rage sets in, I shut off any other feeling. Once I explode though, it's done. I go back to calm and normal, do not recall anything what happened. I black out from rage, anger ... well as long as I can find a way to use it constructively I'm okay. :)

Wife was scared once. I had gotten rather angry over something she chose to do. She came home and went to the bathroom. It had been cleaned to nearly surgical standards. She screamed and ran out. "So, you're really that mad at me," she asked with puppy dog eyes. We talked it over. She understood my point but had already committed to the event, said she would not again.

And yes, I did ride the short bus to school. Had fun with a few guys in chairs. They teach a person a lesson about self pity. Also had an autistic boy riding with us. He liked chewing his fingers, and not in a simple playful way, he tried gnawing them off. I used to hold his hands. He would sit and smile the whole way to school. This taught me that even the simpler things hold great value. It also helped revealing that what an abusive step-dad said was not true. He had said I was useless and worthless.

Now, looking back I know a lot differently. Being a kid though you start accepting whatever lies someone tosses you. Still a bit of a stumbling block at times. Wife tells me I got a good idea in not kicking dead horses, just go around them. In a sense that is what vaping opens up for me, a different path for a different me. :) So, again thank you. :)

OK, now you're just showing off! :p

But yours isn't moving. Cheater... ;)

I guess I never made it back down here yesterday, did I? Had quite a few pages to catch up on! I was making some "pretend" Chinese food from "recipes" I got off a Food Network show. I had the ingredients jotted down but not the amounts, so I had to guess and there was much too much thinking involved. Chinese food is hard to make anyway, because of all the prep work, and I ended up standing in the kitchen for 2 hours and 48 minutes before it was done. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting it to be, but it WAS actually good! I've decided I can't make Chinese in my kitchen anymore, though. There just isn't enough counter space...
it was moving on my end :p

I feel it's essential as the battery is pretty bad atm.

Although my wrap has to come off but I think I can mod the new one.
What about mine hehe, I don't even mind it's not blood red, a black one would look pretty cool to match the front don't you think?
