googled,

I *really* like that "one word." Thank you! It's especially nice to know that the illustrated guide is appreciated across the pond.

It's taken a few weeks (and *many* hours in those weeks), but I've loved doing it (just as I love vaping and the subculture surrounding it). And I have had some free time on my hands.

Thanks again, googled!

Yep! Part 4 (buyers guide) of The Wonderful World of vaping is now available for your reading and viewing pleasure in the New Members forum.

daboom i fixed your first reference to this page in part one considering you could no longer edit that. good write up so far keep it up.

Interesting nickname you've given me, my lord. I like it. ['Don' - my out-on-the-street moniker - is passe.]

Thank you for fixing that link, mage! You moderators have been providing invaluable support to this little project of mine.

I will choose *not* to be offended by that "so far" caveat. ;)

Geez! Alexahente (the demanding one)! YOU need to go in there now and update the thread title. So there! ;)

I'm glad you "appricate" (whatever that is) the efforts of "Jim" (whoever he is; lordmage?).

Always a pleasure, Sun! :)

Fantastic write-up! I only wish I would have found it sooner and perhaps I could have avoided some newbie pitfalls. I have tried a few models so far but I am positive I will be moving onto bigger and better things. In the meantime I think the 901 can keep me somewhat happy. Your guide will be used as a solid resource for any upcoming purchases. Well played sir...

Wow... I have spent the last few hours (minus interruptions...I told those kids that if there isn't blood or vomit, I'm BUSY..but do they ever listen?:p) reading your thread and watching all of the videos, and I'm very impressed.

I've been at this a few months, and I've not completely climbed the mountain yet, but I'm going to get there. I'll be referring back to all this great info along the way.

You've saved plenty of newbies - not to mention a lot of us not-so-newbies - a lot of money and prevented a lot of frustration.

Well written and just enough humor to keep it entertaining.

Great job & thanks for all the time you and effort it must have taken putting this together!

So... in one word, AWESOME!
Vaping at 70+ days, and still found this helpful :thumb:

Although, once you started talking about all the different models and their numbers, started getting a little confusing... The photos and writing are spot-on, but after reading SOOOOO much all the numbers start sounding the same. Maybe a separate section for each model you talk about, and then another section (with a link in the original model heading) and which models are compatible with each other?

And not sure what the Smoore was about? Perhaps a link is in order.
Also, I can't find Part 5? Would be nice to have a link to the next section.. Pretty please (with sugar cookie flavored juice on top)? I want to continue reading!

I kind of have a NooB Question... When I Order "Blank Cartridges" = They do have some kind of material inside that absorbs liquid right ? I am assuming they are just like regular carts but w/out the liquid ???

The reason I ask is because the "Smoking Everywhere" Gold Kit I am returning came with a "Blank Cartridge" on it to begin with & this particular "Blank Cartridge" had NOTHING inside it..... If thats what a blank is considered then I am missing something on how liquids work....

Hydro, you're right...all of the blank carts I've bought came w/filler inside, just no liquid. I'm not sure why SE sells empty mouthpieces. :)

Smoore is one of the Chinese e-cig manufacturers. Don was just having fun with the name because it sounds so much like a certain type of food.

As far as part 5 goes, I'm sure he's working on it, and it will be added to the first 4 parts as soon as it's finished. You can't imagine how time consuming it is, putting together something like this. It is an amazing amount of work. My hat is off to Don for everything he is doing. If it takes more time for parts 5 and 6, it's because he wants it to be just right.

So if the first 4 parts are any indication, the last two will be worth the wait. :)

That's right! Part 5 of the Wonderful World of Vaping is up and ready for your viewing pleasure in the New Members forum. [We just haven't had a chance to change the thread title yet.]

Part 5 is a first-time buyers guide for the Big Guys and the Juice.

Please do post any questions or comments (not in that thread yet, but) either here in this thread ... or in this other thread in the New Members forum.

I look forward to interacting with you!

Thanks for coming to my defense, Ez! Although anyone who describes what I'm doing as "AWESOME" can follow that with pretty much any other comment.:D

And, yes, I have been working long and hard on Part 5 (which is why I haven't acknowledged postings here for awhile). But I've just put it to bed (see my announcement post here), so I can kick back and relax a little (until Sun comes along and kicks me in the toochis).

Thanks again for your understanding and your words of praise! It means a lot!

Thank you, span, for that "one word!" It was a pretty special one.:D

I know exactly what you mean by "different models and their numbers, started getting a little confusing." To quote myself (from Part 4):
...the alphabet-numeric soup of DSE’s, JOYE’s, KR’s, M’s, Njoy’s (not to be confused with Joye’s), RN’s, and virtually every 3-digit number from 103 to 901 … and their aliases. [My head still spins with all this stuff.]
And the just-posted Part 5 (on the large models and e-liquid) may just add to the confusion. To some extent, it's the nature of the beast: diversity in the extreme (but that's part of what makes this world of vaping so exciting).

My advice: Focus in on those models and juices that appeal to you ... and ignore the rest. That's what I did (and I think most do) until I embarked on this monster.

It looks like your Smoore question has been answered by Ez Duzit. Here's a link to more info on Smoore.

Your pleas for Parts 5 and 6 warm the cockles of my heart ... it indicates "you really like me.";) [Sally Field, Oscar acceptance speech] I mean, of course, that you appreciate my efforts.

As for your suggestion about "separate sections": Why don't you take on that project.;)

Thanks again, span!
