And it works good now

Thanks alot for your help:)
Good to hear! Sometimes we just need to step back a bit, catch out breath and try again! I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to smash a genny style atty against the wall out of frustration!

Just as I was starting to like this thing...

My glass just shattered as I was pulling it off. Shards everywhere...thankfully I was wearing rubber gloves. Yes, I had lubed them when I first put it together (the o-rings, not the gloves). I'm sure some of you can get it off no problem, but atty parts sometimes get stuck...we've seen it before. If it happens here, it can be disastrous (your fingers are in direct contact with the part in question). Unless they give us a plastic or sturdy SS option, then I'm doing one last build in my remaining tank and chuck it when it's shot.

fast tech has them for $1.14

I busted my first glass putting it on the very first time, but chalked it up as a fluke. I agree that the glass is strangely brittle in some ways, definitely need to take it off with consideration.

By far the easiest way I've found to take it off is to hold the glass between your fingers with one hand, then stick a thumb or finger into the atty (top off obviously) and press down on the posts, so you're not putting any pressure on the glass at all, all the up/down force is on the metal body only. Don't push hard, just firm steady pressure and it'll loosen itself up.

Ditto putting the glass back on, just firm but gentle pressure with one thumb evenly weighted on the top edge of the glass tube until the bottom eases over the o-rings. I don't even bother lubing mine after rinse cleaning between rebuilds, and so far so good with the replacement glass the last month.

That sounds like a great idea!

The price has nothing to do with it (and they generously include 3). It's that I don't want to have to get stitches in my fingers.

Whenever I change my flavor in my tanks/rda's I always lube up the orings with a couple drops of juice. Never had an issue after learning to do this from that very thing happening on my first subtank.

I did lube them. They still ended up getting stuck. If that part was made of sturdy metal, it wouldn't be an issue (even if it would still be a bit of a pain to remove, I wouldn't care). My issue with this is that it can cause serious injury...you have to apply pressure (sometimes lots of it) with your fingers to a piece of fragile glass. Bad design choice, imo.

So, if I am following you correctly, you are saying leave it on the mod when going to empty? Any reason that would be preferred as opposed to taking it off to disassemble? I am hesitant to leave it on considering any juice that may still be in the tank would/could get on the mod.
when i rewick or clean - I leave the tank on the mod, remove the top caps and while the mod is tilted slightly down pull the glass. The residual juice falls out in the trash and I can now pull my wick and dry burn / quench as usual.
