Hi folks,

This is my first post here, been lurking for about a month.

So my eliquid brand of choice was Johnson Creek, but I decided to venture out and try ELP. My order consisted of Blueberry, Strawberry, Licorice and no-flavor VG.

The order came and the licorice was replaced with hazlenut (emailed ELP and they QUICKLY sent out a Licorice free of charge).

While the service and shipping has been out of this world (arguably the best online customer service I've ever had), the flavors are a huge disappointment. How can that be!! :(

All of the flavors I bought taste the same. Well, not EXACTLY the same, but the differences are barely noticeable. And to top it off, the overwhelming taste is a floral/perfumy taste that I can't handle.

Has anyone else run into this? Is it a bad batch, maybe?

Blueberry - no real blueberry taste. Tastes very floral.
Strawberry - has a very very mild strawberry hint. Tastes very floral
Licorice - Is this a rose flavor with a licorice label on it?

Not trying to be overly harsh here... just want to know what to expect from vendors that are new to me.

Any advice or similar/contrary experiences are welcome!

Thanks!

Hi whodat,

If you have any questions or concerns, you can always send us an email. I do not know why you are experiencing this floral experience, I am vaping blueberry right now and it is superb...as for this thread you started, I would be interested in other people's experiences as well...
I am going through our emails and here is a quote from one of them:
Since I started vaping, I have yet to find a juice supplier whose product can come close to matching yours. Best flavor bar none!

I imagine everyone's taste is different, but we always get emails similar to this, so if you can please email us your order # and production date on the bottles you have we will look into it.

Thanks

So. Cal
I just ordered a batch of liquids from ELP myself and couldn't be happier. I especially like the Champagne, RY4 and Cotton Candy.

I've got to mention that I just saw a video review of the licorice from TGWTF on his blog and he didn't care for it much either; perhaps the flavoring (LorAnn?) for licorice just isn't a very close match. It's all hit or miss and will vary from different taste buds I suppose.

I would also question how long you've quit smoking normal analogs? You'll find your taste buds just aren't as "sharp" or keen to the flavors for a few weeks/months after you quit...

I'm having the same experience with a large order. French Pipe, Flu Cure, Coffee, Champagne, Cuba Cigar, Turkish Blend, and Hazelnut all have the same perfume taste to varying degrees. Admittedly I am very new to vaping and don't know what they are supposed to taste like, but these are quite distasteful. You have many pleased customers, so I am sure this is a fluke, but something is esque.

The flu, fp, turk, are dated 5/31. The Hazel 5/13, Cuba and Champ 6/29, coffee4/14. They all smell the same with the exception of the Champagne which is the only one that has a slight sweet smell in addition to the common odor.

I'm using VK battery with a brand new 901 atty. (I bought 14 of them) I have tried these with blank carts and a few with directly dripping. Is there something I should do to a new atty before using? I am searching for a way that this could be my own error. I am not looking to bash your company or get a refund. As I said, you have many happy buyers and this is either my own error, or a bad batch.

Thank you

Hi Conifer,

I just checked all the flavors from the lot #'s you have mentioned, I have not vaped them, but only smelled them and they seem to all be fine. We are trying to figure out what would cause this and we have not had any complaints at all except for this thread. If you have time feel free to call us or email us. We will look into this further and get back to you if we find out any info on the cause of your liquids being perfumy (is that a word?).
I do vape coffee, cuban, and hazelnut frequently and have had no issues...

thank you all for the info.

Peace....

Hi all... Seems like a mixed bag... some taste the floral, others get fruity heaven!

I still smoke analogs but was never a very heavy smoker. I go through a pack a week at most. The bummer is that my buddies who also vape (2 others) tried the Blueberry and strawberry with the same results I had.

My guess is a bad batch... or maybe all our tastebuds are a bit off.

I'm still curious as to what the floral flavor is coming from and interested in hearing from others before I consider purchasing again... and yes, I'd like to purchase again given the great experience I've had with the awesome customer service. The "product" may be less than what I expected... but if there could be a good reason for it.

usually i hate fruity flavors but when i tried ELP's blueberry it was a real blueberry taste -like that of blueberry pie. Are you testing these flavors on clean atomizers? It would also be interesting to note what type of PV you are vaping these on.

I'm vaping on a Joye510. I can't say my atty's were actually scrubbed clean, but I give a good dry burn every night or two. I really don't think it's the attys because other liquids taste just fine.

Thanks for the question!
