Oh I agree. I wanted the same cigarette all day every day. I've never been able to do that with smoke juice.

same here. tried different brands when i first started, but stuck with camel lights for the next fifteen years. now i don't even go a day without vaping at least two different kinds of liquid.

I lol'd at a few posts in this thread, especially people saying that others waste money and that if you CAN do it you SHOULD do it.

My wife and I have had the same conversation about gas stations. She's one of those people that will tell you to turn in another direction after you've already committed to turning the opposite way.Early on I indulged her insanity by cutting my turn short, steering in the opposite direction unexpectedly and driving like a drunk to satisfy her urge to save a nickel.

Now I just ignore her and go with whatever's most convenient. You can be the judge of which approach is more sane. A nickels not worth an accident or the loss of someones life.

I'm not being ripped off by paying for quality juice.Im paying for the convenience of NOT having to do it myself. The way I see it smoking was one of the most uncomplicated things in the world and I try to keep vaping just as simple.

but buying pre mixed unflavored juice and adding flavoring is pretty easy and its still 1/4 of the price.

unless theres some special recipe that you cant reproduce i dont see why not.

Most of the juices I vape and ALL of my favorites are extracted tobaccos. That's not something easily replicated.

The idea never appealed to me when I first started vaping. I attempted once and had not good results and didn't try it again for about a year.

I do it now mainly for the convenience. If your using vv devices and tanks, you go through a lot of liquid. I can easily whip up 60 ml in a about 3-5 minutes. I don't make all of my liquid, but I do make the majority of simple liquids. Plus I want to be prepared if the hammer comes down on vaping. Ya never know.

Qick general calculation found making 12mg 30ml bottles with organic flavors would cost about $4 and that's not even using bulk gallons of base to save more.

Vendors sell 30mls for like $15 plus shipping.

Pretty sure you can also legally grow some tobacco in most places, soak the leaves in base, have to be fresh leaves, can't just soak dried tobacco, but that still might work, and be very careful if you use nicotine base, it's no joke, can kill a person with just a sip or too much soaked into hands or skin. Boil it down, get a nicotine tester and make your own nicotine base for cheap (although DIY nic base is pretty cheap and easy).

Better to store in glass bottles almost no juice vendor offers. glass bottles with poly cone lids are only like $5 for 10.

Just depends on the value you place on your time. Mine is worth more than the $15 I pay someone else to mix up excellent juice for me.

There are bland juices to which I add flavor, but I haven't felt the need yet to order 100mg nic mixes. I would consider ordering 24mg unflavored mixes and adding flavors, though. Juice is cheap enough if you shop around and expensive if you don't.

I still find Dekang to be about the most predictable in flavor and the cheapest at $10.99 for 50ml. My experience with many new vendors that I try is that I tend to get soapy, fresh juices that aren't vapable until they sit for at least two weeks. Dekang is generally good right out of the USPS pack. I guess the transit time from China and the handling it gets results in mixing and steeping time.

I've thought about DIY but haven't gotten into it yet. I do have PG, VG and some flavoring, but no nic. I can see how you can save money diy-ing if you discount your time. Of course with stuff like this, our time doesn't account for much in our minds. I work leather and the time it takes to make a knife case well exceeds the $60 it would cost to buy one on-line. But being the way I am, I proceeded to get into leather and spent $1000 on tools and materials to learn how to make my $60 case! So typical!

Still, the best savings I've ever seen was on roll your own analogs. When they went to $5 a pack, I was paying $1.20, and the smokes were better. When they kept increasing in price, I still paid $1.20!

I think I'll get into DIY just for the fun of it, and if I save money (discounting my time)... Whooopiiiieee!

My philosophy is, why pay for a juice I can make myself? I only buy premium tobacco juices, and just samples for the most part. There are several juices out there that I will gladly pay a dollar per ml. It's just that the great majority of juices I tried when first starting out were just so-so if not just downright bad. After a lot of research and practice I can make juices just as good if not better than a lot of vendors.

There are some juices that are just so good that I doubt I'll ever come close to duplicating or even creating a juice equally as good. Those are the juices I buy. Not a lot and not often, just once in awhile. I make my own ADV's but I like a change-up once in awhile.

It's not all that subjective either. The vendor juices I like are usually hard to get and are very popular. So I guess everyone else likes them too.
