Things that "Grind My Gears" pet peeves

insurance companies....

Why do I pay out the .... for insurance?? So that when I do have an accident we can play the game "which insurance company would like to screw me more". Mine or the other drivers, you know...the one that got the ticket...the guy that turned in front of me and left me less than a car length to get from 45 to 0. My insurance company has the nerve to take 500 bucks off of my bottom line stating that my seats are worn...they are not....and my carpet was dirty. Now mind you I dumped a hot cup of coffee in my lap when I hit this other car because I was standing on the brakes.
TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY
YES...THERE IS A STAIN ON THE FRONT SEAT...I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO CLEAN IT WITH ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE THEY TOWED MY CAR AWAY.
YES...THE FLOOR WASN'T VACCUUMED FOR THE SAME REASON.

TO THAT GUYS INSURANCE COMPANY
THE POLICE TOOK ALL THE WITNESS STATEMENTS AT THE SCENE AND GAVE YOUR DRIVER THE TICKET.
MY CAR IS TOTALLED AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR MY OWN RENTAL CAR UNTIL YOU "FIGURE OUT" IT WAS YOUR DRIVERS FAULT...ALONG WITH MY DEDUCTIBLE ECT.


I guess I shouldn't be surprised....but I am agitated.

I do tech support for a television provider. so what really grinds my gears is people who call about a blackout of their favorite team and expect me to flip a switch bc they are someone special who deserve to have it unblacked out.

1 I have no such magic switch
2 If you are that much a sport fanatic you already know and understand what a blackout is
3 you are no more special than anyone else, please take the silver spoon out of your mouth

Maureen, My daughter was hit by drivers 3 times as a young person..totalling 3 cars! (All of which she saved and paid for with a bit of help from us) Not one of the SOB's had any insurance and she was never ticketed..but we had a devil of a time finding new insurance after each accident!

when I say that dinner is ready, which took me and an hour to prepare and will take me at least 20 minutes to clean up, and kids and sometimes husband take so long to come eat that it gets cold...that makes me want to go postal.

Driver's license people who lose your picture in the computer..now in order to change your address you must go down and sit and wait!

MK, are you sure you need a whole new driver's license? When I moved I was told I could get a whole new one, or I could opt for the cheeper route, which was to tell them, then they just put it in the computer. (I'm in a different state though) I think my DL still read the old one, but if someone looked me up on the computer it would show the correct address. (or maybe they gave me a sticker, crap getting old suck's I can't remember anything anymore)

I really hate anytime I have to enter that driver's license facility. They really try to make the whole experience as painful as possible.

They found mine..it was Mike's they lost! They said they would mail mine to us..Mike has to have a new picture done. We were told it had to be a whole new card..not just a sticker. Anything to gouge you for more money!

My pet peeve for today is bags that won't open! I mean pet snacks..really? But chips open, rip and spill..meds won't open unless you find a little kid to do it!
