Only almost 5 weeks now and I already miss the feeling of satisfaction when you get out of the home in the morning and you immediately light a cigarette. Also missing drinking and smoking. Somehow vaping is not as satisfying.
I also miss going to the store to buy a pack of a cigarette and a Redbull once per day.

What I don't miss however is the actual smoke. Tried one couple of days ago and had to get rid of it after two puffs. xD

My Zippo is still on my desk. Can't let that one go tho.
I felt the same as you for a while after switching, but as time went on, I found I missed those little things less and less. after a while vaping became something that I just did, like smoking was to me before that. I also discovered that unlike smoking, the urgency for my nicotine went away, over time those gotta get a smoke right now moments just faded away. Stick with it and hopefully on your journey you might discover similar things.

I did the "tried" a cigarette a few weeks after I quit because I thought I needed it. I was actually surprised how turned off I was. Almost 4 months later and I still get those I need a cig moments but I don't cave because of that one time. It's a mind game more than anything. After 30 years of doing something, it's hard to change. What I learned is that it can be done.

So, my wife smoked in the car. She smoked in the car all the time. So I inherited such car and she stopped smoking in 2013. Earlier this year, I finally noticed the car doesn't smell like stale cigarette smoke anymore. So I do (NOT) miss that smell.

The other week, I busted out a cigar and smoked it outside while enjoying a dram of bourbon. Now, that is a sense of satisfaction I missed while drinking, is how smoking goes so well with it.

I haven't smoked a cigarette since 2013, after a 30 year PAD habit. The day I picked up a vape pen I put the smokes down. BUT. My subconscious smokes every night in my dreams. I KNOW I vape and don't smoke in the dreams. Yet somehow in my dream state it's easier to light a cigarette, and justify to myself that I'll go back to vaping tomorrow. Then I smoke a few more. When I wake up, I have no desire to smoke. Poof! It's gone! I don't even bring my vape into the bedroom when I go to sleep.
